Rev limiter question

This may seem like a stupid question but while looking through syty site I've noticed that alot of 1/4mile trap speeds are up near 100mph. My ty rev limiter wont let me go over 90ish with my foot to the floor in third gear. Are these syty owner who are posting these trap speed lifting so that they aren't knicking down out of OD or have they bypass the rev limiter. If there is a way to by pass the rev limiter could some pass this info to me.

Serious about performance
I have a stock original tranny 48K mi Syclone and I shift into overdrive when 3rd gear hits about 4550 RPM. That is around 96 MPH. My best MPH was 103.4. My truck goes NOWHERE if I leave it in D and wind it up, and I avoid doing that because I feel like the motor is gonna blow. I haven't yet figured out how anyone goes faster than about 96 MPH in the quarter without using overdrive OR a camshaft that makes power in higher RPMs.

I did some free mods to help my truck's top end and now it pulls nearly as hard in overdrive as it does in 3rd gear. My MPH now is estimated to be 105-106 MPH but on my test "strip" road by my house I can hit 115 with the greatest of ease, shit I can nearly bury the spedometer on the same road I use for just quarter mile testing. I dont know how any of that would be possible without overdrive or a camshaft and raising the revlimit. Interesting topic that's rarely been discussed; I hope others contribute.

If your tranny doesn't shift into Overdrive at WOT, it's a sign that it's giving up the ghost, IMO.

PS: I always race in Drive and I click it into OverDrive at the 96 MPH point. If I would race in OD It would shift very early into OD, like around 4200-4300 RPM.
