Re: RIP Sy #0344

Sy 344, This must be at an auction semi close to me. I test drove this truck in 2007 in Wellsville, KS. It was rusty back then. It also had two driver seats installed (ie the hand pump was on the right side of both).

It's Salvageable but damn it's rough  . I'd buy it for $1800 @ most and part out everything as it still could save others. Jus' keep the motor for myself & let the rest go.

BTW those are true IrocZ wheels and iirc the backspacing is correct for 4x4 applications due it to being a 16x8 on the rear. I may be wrong but I know you can't run 2 rear IrocZ wheels on a 2wd due to having to run @least a 1/2" - 1" spacer due to rubbing.

My guess is that they are all rear Iroc rims. The Iroc rims are different offset front and rear, and the rears are more positive offset. A trick to get Iroc's on a 2wd S10 and make it look good was to get 4 fronts, the rears sit in too far on a 2wd, and the rears also wont work on the front of a 2wd because of the bearing caps, can't put the center caps in.

Lots of good parts on that truck, but the rest of it looks too far gone.
