I suspect as any person would want to that your hoping this post will bring a resolution and your $6k back. I hate to tell you but I just highly doubt that will be happening.

Honestly I think you have 2 options.

#1 Kiss the $ goodbye and mark it up as a lesson learned. As I said before education costs money, some come with a degree others do not. Some are more expensive than others.

#2 Gather up your documents, paperwork, whatever you may have and proceed with another long drawn out stressful battle. In the end if your lucky you might get 10cents on the dollar.

I do understand, lesson learned. I think I am still moving with your #2 suggestion. I mostly wanted to move the post to the top in an effort that many more people will read my experience with RR, and benefit from my loss, thus making my 10 cents on the dollar much more valuable. No need to thank me for that, just a service I provide for free. In fact there have been about 200 more views since. Again, thanks to all those that took the time to read. I also think his silence speaks for itself. He has stood up to everyone else, but not so in this situation. Wonder why?

wow. just read this whole thread. pretty shitty considering this is a pretty tight nit community. i've bought things and had the seller ship stuff without payment and vise vursa. havent got burned yet (but it was never a truck and 6K)

I would really like to post an honest,unbiased reply to your question,but having never expirenced the turmoil and rage that you are going through(I've never hired RR),and being that there are two sides to every story (3 if you count Silly's),I will just give you my opinion on what I've heard.

(Disclaimer:I don't know if this is fact,fiction,or just the drunking ramblings of someone that is also high) :dunno:

I used to work w/Americanmuscle1 before we both quit, and I've been informed of everything from day 1 and I was supposed to install a stereo in it for him almost 2 years ago so let me assure you guys he's not exaggerating. I was getting pi$$ed off myself when all of this started a year ago. AM1 has been very lenient w/Guy and has been so for quit some time.

That's my $.02 worth. Can't wait to "see" how it will all work out.

Not sure, but I heard that there just might not be a shop to go to soon. There is a gentleman that I meet today over the phone. He found out about my post and was interested in my story. He will soon join in and tell his story. I invited him to join this thread. He may or may not, just stay tuned. Some more information may be available soon. Thanks again for reading this.

Your story sucks and I can only imagine your pain. I will say this...I've been around the board for awile. I don't know the people Jimmy does, but I know enough and have read enough to know that I would never allow RR to touch anything I owned. I know this doesn't help you much, but but maybe it can add to your purpose or warning people. Years ago I read similar posts from similar customers. A guy can defend his business all day long and respond to alligations, however when more than one customer makes similar complaints his defense credibility decreases. Best wished to you in the future.

I will second that. I know of two other owners that have removed their trucks from RR after reading this thread. Over 3900 views at this point, and for the most part it has been a very clean thread. Doing well my friend...much closer to you now. I'm in Laramie, WY. Sold the truck awile ago, but looking to get another in the next year or 2. I hang around and read things here, but gave up a long time ago as I felt this board was like a 25 woman strong cheerleading squad who call eachother bitches and pull eachothers hair.

If I was a betting man, and I am. I would bet that he checks on this daily, as a guest of course. I know he knows what is going on. I logged into www.rockfordracing.com the other day and noticed that he is short an employee. His thread is titled help wanted. He said he pays little money and is a cash only pay. I am trying to find a way to let the IRS know about that...lol. I posted that I would work for him, not for money, but for the return of my motor.
