Room in a sy

How much room do most of you guys have in your sys? i'm 6'4 and was told I might be kind of cramped in it from a few people :D I didn't get to sit in corbins when I was down there, because I really didn't think of it. I have rode in regular cab s10s before and seemed like I had enough room. I'm a pretty skinny guy if that matters any. Thanks

You need a TY man! Maybe you know or don't but Sy's are not that comfortable at all in the first place... I am 5'8" and couldn't justify having one if I was all that much taller. I know alot of peeps w/SY's are taller and/or bigger than me but I just hope its not a daily driver for ya!?!

Well, Im about 6'1" and about 230 lbs. I feel a little bit cramped when I drive the Sy but not uncomfortable. That may be because I don't drive the Sy that often and the DD is a Blazer.
FYI, Matt H fits in their Sy but I don't believe its too comfortable. BTW, if you haven't met him, Im guessing about 6'6" or 7".

I'm 6'3 and had a Sy for 4 years. I really didn't think it was that bad. I had a 8" Bazooka tube behind my seat so the seat was one click forward, but it could recline farther back that way.

Now I have a Ty and that is like a lazy boy.

6'6'' and about 295. Just plain does not work. Even if i used a can of crisco to squeeze my big ass in there I still could not see through the sun visor!!

what you need to do is build an extended cab syclone like this guy is that i know. They should have made them both ways in the factory.

Hey man,
Sorry I broke mine before you got a chance to ride in it last weekend. I'm 6'0", and the thing is comfy as hell to me. Course, I'm used to driving my cramped F-body every day, so the sy feels like a caddy to me. Not sure how much 4" of leg room will matter? If you REALLY want to know, you're welcome to take mine out for a spin- I will hopefully have it back on the road by the middle of this coming week.

Yea, but your truck just sits in the garage broken. You need to DRIVE it, instead of being stuck under the hood to understand how comfortable it is.

I have never seen that truck move myself. :D

How is that nice billet distributor treating you?

I am 6'3" and relatively thin, I fit fine in my Sy. I think if I was a little taller, I might start running into some problems though.

Ha, ha! Like YOU have any room to talk, Mr. I-only-got-30-miles-out-of-my-Vortec-conversion! Only time I've ever seen your dust-covered ty move was when Mike H leaned up against it. :D

I was actually going to approach you about doing up some billet JS Design distributors. They'd compliment those fuel rails nicely. I've got a real quality ( )prototype I'll make you a great deal on.

BTW, thanks for welding those brackets onto my intercooler.

Hey thanks for all the replys. I think i should be ok in a sy. It will be a leasure vehicle more then anything. It's not your fault corbin I just didn't think about sitting in your truck to try it on.

I don't think the rearend could hold up to the "BURN OUT KING"

hey corbin who did you say your loan was through? just kind of wondering

I went through these guys:

www.jjbest.com

They got me a waaay better rate than my bank would give me (because the truck is so old). Some banks I tried wouldn't even give a loan for a vehicle that old. They have a real fast approval process, and all the paperwork is overnighted to you. They will go inspect the vehicle to make sure they're not giving a loan out for some turd. I bought my truck from Maryland, and they had it inspected within two days of me calling to apply.

Check em out. And no, I am in no way affiliated with jjbest.

Oh, and my new rear end will see no burnouts, at least for a while anyway. I'm taking it easy on this one- some nice, gentle 8-12 psi boost launches, that's all. :D
