Thanks for all the support guys. I'm not even worried about the money back, but its bad to see someone in a small group do that. Bad thing is I waited forever, I should have just ordered a scanmaster new and would have already had it.

not that it will make you feel better, but you aren't the first, you wont be the last, and you were certainly not taken for the most money.....

it sucks that it happens at all, its even worse that it happens in a small community like this, but I think that's actually what highlights the scammers even more so than in a large community like LS1Tech or similar forums. When scamming 12 people out of a community of 1000, it has a larger impact than scamming 200 people in a community of 100,000+

why people continue to **** themselves, ruin their name, their reputation and hurt others for a few measly dollars is beyond me :roll:

It's a shame Facebook isn't linked to Experian or Equifax etc. Credit ratings agencies might one day get all linked up and prevent this from happening. I am sure it is only a matter of time. Maybe you could see someone's credit rating on the forum as well. The buyer feedback feature is basically what that is.

One practice that I use when purchasing from questionable sources (Which is almost ALL purchases off the internet/individuals) is i use PayPal, then have paypal pull the funds from my credit card.

If paypal refuses due to some BSP excuse, file a claim with your credit card.

worked twice for me.
