School me on meth injection ---

Re: School me on meth injection ---

...with our high underhood temps, is there any "concern/danger" in having a meth-fire with these vehicles?
Also, if one where to have an accident and an insurance investigator detected meth
(alky, or for that matter nitrous or CO2 bottles for spraying) would that cancel out any insurance coverage?
I realize that race vehicles can use substances/devices that street vehicles should/can not use
due to legal restrictions, environmental concerns, or as an endangerment to emergency personnel.
I know Car Craft magazine address some these issues (on a state-by-state basis), but
I was wondering if the advantages were offset my the legal risks? Just wondering...

I work for Anderson Ford Motorsport, that designed/sells a meth injection kit called Mr. Freeze. It uses washer fluid and is activated by boost. You can choose from 3 different jets and there are no mechanical parts. With only 6 employees, Yours truly gets to build 'em test 'em (in house dyno tested) and ship 'em. My boss and I are very picky about qaulity. They're pretty cool. They also changed the yellow bottle to a black box. Heres a link to a test article my boss did for a mustang mag. Re: School me on meth injection ---

look around Nate. I found a place that sells meth for about 3-4$ a gallon. I was using about a gallon per tank of gas when I was driving hard.

Re: School me on meth injection ---

guys who want a race gas tune on pump gas need the alky injection to run straight meth. In laymans terms, you are replacing gasoline with alcohol as the boost rises. If this is what you are after, the Razor/ Alky Control kits seems to be preferred choice. Most guys running high concentrates of meth also have a custom or special tune so it is definitely more hands on, requires maintenance of the system, special fuel etc but the benefit is that you see a HUGE performance gain.

We have sold alot of the Spearco kits, b/c it is probably the easiest kit to install and the progressive controller is super compact and easy to mount/use. It works great for guys running windshield washer fluid, 50/50 or 70/30 mixes and although you cant run the additional 10 degrees of timing advance and another 10psi like you can with straight meth, you can run another 3-5 psi coupled with ~30+ degree temperature drops at the intake manifold, all on your existing computer chip.

So it really depends what you are trying to achieve. As for the tank, depending on your available mounting options many use the stock coolant overflow tank as the resevoir and mount a small 1 qt/catchcan overflow tank for the radiator somewhere else. Jegs also has an RCI Jr. dragster 1 gallon fuel cell which mounts easily as well.

Re: School me on meth injection ---

I dont use my windshield washer fluid ( no mounts on the harwood hood ) ... so I may swap it with the engine coolant tank for the meth / overflow ... until I get sick of filling it up so much, hahaah

Thanks again ---

Re: School me on meth injection ---

If you know someone who owns/runs a carwash, they can get meth in 55 gallon drums, and they're not that expensive. I'll ask my buddy who owns a carwash, and see if he recalls a ballpark price on a drum.

Re: School me on meth injection ---

My buddy says that you can get a 55 gallon drum of straight methanol from carwash supply places for about $120 + $40 drum deposit. Including the deposit, you're still only looking at $3.27/gal, and $2.18/gal for every gallon after your first drum. Seems like a better idea than filling a tank with those heet bottles at $1 a piece... as long as you have somewhere to put a 55 gallon drum.

I'd imagine they'd also sell smaller quantities in buckets and whatnot, but I don't know for sure.

Hope this helps someone.

Damn that would be sweet. I wonder how long that could last me?

Very cool on the drum ... that would be close to 55 tanks of gas if you use 1 gal of meth per tank :) .

Does meth get "old"? ---

Not sure if you mean the Mr. Freeze or not but it comes with it's own tank containing boost activated one-way check valves, and is moderated by jets. If you use the first of the 3 jets, you don't need to tune. But yeah you would have to fill it up more depending on how much you boost.
