Seat belts and seat flop

Hello,

I have noticed 2 things on my new (to me) syclone. I have tried to search the forums but came up empty, berhaps I am using the wrong key words:

1: my seatbelts dont seem to want to retract or tension quickly. They seem very loose and when I tug on them quickly the belts dont catch. Is this a normal thing or am I just use to more modern seat belts?

2: The seats flop forward without any effort. I see a level on the back side but it doesnt seem to do anything or lock them in place. again, is this normal?

Thank you everyone,

Paul

ditto on the normal. I read in my owners manual (if I remember correctly) it has something to do with being parked on a hill.

They are called or refered to as Inertia belts. Lets you lean foward or move around in the seat with the belt on while driving. When you hit the brakes hard (or crash) the belt will lock.
