My friend emailed him about it and this is what he wrote. <br>
"The only reason I replaced the seats I am very picky and i found a brand new pair. Their was nothing wrong with the old pair i just wanted a new pair.
the steering wheel had the normal wear from your hands. after all the truck
is twelve years old. the front end components have been replaced, new half
shafts, front prop shaft, a-arm bushings and the pitman arm. The only
reason that was relaced was for reliability reasons. the boots on the
halfshafts and prop shaft were dry rotted. it has a atr air box, new high
volume fuel pump and a new optima battery. as you know the transmissions
are the weak point on these vehicles. the transmission was replaced with a
factory correct syclone transmission from g.m. with a 3 year warranty. the
cladding was redone to factory correct color. no engine modifications at
all. the truck is in excellant shape. the interior i would rate as a 9 and
the exterior i would rate as a 9 as well. the truck runs great no problems
what so ever. the only reason i am selling it because i am getting a new
boat and i have to many toy now. with all that has been done to it
including the wheels i have over $17,000 in it. as you can see this is a no
reserve auction so the high bidder gets it. i will work on more pictures.
thanks kurt"
Someone bought a whole slew of new steering wheels for $35 and has been selling them since, so new steering wheels are relatively cheap for Sy's. I would be a little worried that GM didn't put in the correct tranny. I noticed most of my trucks suspension pieces at 47K are all dry rotted, so its not too far out.
