slow spool diffrent boosts ondiffrent gears...

Hi!

Ive got a stock typhoon. I have it since 4 weeks. It runs pretty good actualy.
I only have the stock boost gauge ( i know its a piece of crap) but im shore that the boost is not constant. in first gear the boost needle dont go up to the end of the gauge, it stays in the middle for about a second and then it slowly goes up, and before it hits full boost, the trans shits in the next gear. I know the stock gauge is not a righte reference, but i can really feel that there is not enought boost untill 3000-35000rpm. Its much better at higher speeds (about 120km/h-150km/h) then the needle goes up on low rpm`s and hold the boost until it shift. And i can really fell that then the car is much more powerfull.....

The car is complitly stock except a boostpressure regulator (dont know for what...) and a other muffler woch ends in a 3" all back to the exhaust tip...

I know the stock turbos got some preoblems with the wastegate, when there is a 3" complete exhaust-pipe. But I got the stock downpipe and the cat is still in.

So my question is this normal how the boost work on my car or shoud there be fullboost below 3500rpm`s??

Can sombody help me please?

Get a better boost gauge so you can tell what the boost is really doing.

X2 !! and I am assuming by boost regulator you mean boost controller? lose it and hook up the stock stuff and see what happens. those things can make boost do weird stuff
