I had an AMAZING day yesterday...
We went to the track with a friend and met another Sy owner on the way down
when two guys at a petrol station pulled up, each in a Camaro.
They were going to the track as well and asked if we wanted to follow them via their
friend's place with some other American cars. We thought "why not?" so followed them. We ended up at this place owned by a property tycoon.
He had a 5000sqft workshop for his nitro methane dragster and about 4 other cars. : There was a machine shop, tool room, assembly room, lift bar, kitchen, restroom and a hobby room for his wife on the ground floor. Upstairs he had a gym.
Outside were two RVs - the big ones, none of those small ones - basically the size of a coachand he had an articulated lorry / semi with a trailer and another trailer for his dragster.
The yard was 10000sqft. I was gobsmacked. He was retired and just builds his dragster and races it. After the track day we were invited back for a BBQ and beers. He didn't know us and didn't care and just offered up his place while his wife made hot dogs and tea and refilled the fridge.
I've never met someone so wealthy and so generous with it.
The track was the first time out for MDH and was on an unprepped former airstrip in the middle of nowhere. We took his Sy and he ran it twice but with the 20g in there, his best was 15.53.

I think a new torque converter is essential. Project Christmas is coming up!
