I know its a civic, but... this kid was talking a lot of trash about a lot of cars that night claiming he would smoke most of the cars there and that his car had like 300+ hp and all this other bs. So my friends wanted to shut him up and they wanted to line him up with something he would think that he could beat but cant. So they talked the kid into racing the ty ( without telling me first of course :roll: ) I said what the hell and we went out found a light. I left the kid behind at least 5-6 cars the entire time. then he wanted to go from a roll we went at 50-55 and once again I smoked him but this time by like 2-3 cars, then we went from 40 and he won, but I had no boost and the truck had to downshift (oh well) 2 out of 3 not bad. It shut the kid up and he went home shortly after. When we first raced I launched at like 5-6lbs. and when I was sitting at the light the rear tires were smoking bad. All the people that followed behind had never seen the ty launch and they all said they hadnt seen anything like it before :tup: it was literally hopping and slidding around while I was sitting a tthe line too bad none had a camera. Now im just worried about why the tires were spinning but ill worry about that later. so it wasnt anything impressive but I thought I would share.

yeah ill be working on that. when I ran it at the track I only got a 14.2 out of it but I had a lot of problems and did a lot of things wrong by now I should be in the mid 13's I hope. and soon hopefully will be faster.

ish = shit, im trying to make an attempt to cut back on swearing a little and replace it with ebonix :rotf: .

I would try just doing the 1 bigger shoe beacuse yes you have more surface area on the drum to hold on, but it will also take longer to release, so if you can get 1 big and 1 small shoe to hold fine then go that way if not go 2 big shoes.

the manual rear wheel cylinders are slightly bigger than the ones that are already on the truck. i comend you for trying to cut back on swearing, its hard when its pretty much a second language.

Oh you mean manuel tranny, yeh I think stock is what 5/8 cylinder and the bigger is 3/4, I dont remember the exact sizes, I got the bigger ones and 1 big shoe set. I can hold 10 psi at the line, never tried any higher.

Look for 7/8" wheel cylinders for '95 Blazer. Raybestos # WC37854.

I'm around. Just trying to get the Ty back together. Finishing up the FAST wiring, IC plumbing, and just waiting on some custom parts I'm having machined. Will be up and running before the end of the month.

yeah im gonna start working on that but like you said toguh on the brakes and I have to get a few other things out of the way first before I go racing again. besides racing from a roll isnt a real race. :tdown:

and tommy let me know when its all done I know a few people around me that really would like to see your Ty.

The best way to race from a roll in a SyTy is to simply not do it. Unless you trap 115+ you are going to get beaten by a lot of cars. Trapping mid 120s around here is no big deal.

Yeah I think I squeeked by somewhere in the 90's I cant remember. thats why I usually never do race from a roll.

I agree racing from a roll is gay.. but sometimes it's needed.. and when it's needed just use your brakes slightly to build some boost
