...then you won't mind when we say "told you so" when you end up selling it a year later. We're here to help...but I was 17 once too, and did some pretty dumb things...but you're considering a potentially expensive, time-consuming, and often frustrating endeavor.

Go get a cheap Moosewang or F-body (or even a Turbo Regal) and throw a bunch of mods into it...at least more people know how to work on the those and there are parts-a-plenty.

And as previously stated...finish school and be the best at what you want to do. The money (and cars) will follow.

well...thanks for all your help. i just wanted to be 110% sure about what i am going to do. i will just go with the work first play later motto. but since i've worked hard this year (in school...hardest grade(11th)) i'm off to england (in a 2 weeks) to go play and visit relatives for 3 weeks. once again thank you very much. :rock:

As a side note.. I'm about the age of Gr33n and after reading this and the other similar thread of his, I've decided tokeep my DD first before a Ty (when I save a CRAPLOAD of money up). Don't know how long it will be and it is disappointing to have to wait, but the risk is far too great, especially with having to get to work and school on time.

Yep, the POS RM build finally died and I couldnt be happier. Now I may be able to actually get some decent times out of the truck with a good build.

On a side note, RM will be getting the parts back that come out of the trans via DHL, billed to reciever. :tup:

Hey, well if you can't wait you could always get a Sonoma GT....that is assuming you find one that hasn't already had the piss beatin out of it....The GT's don't break the wallet too bad.....well.....except my GT, it is making me poor, but that's my fault. It just HAD to have that LS1 and I couldn't say no... :lol: I agree with a couple other people on here, you can still have a fast fun car(somebody mentioned an F-body)but you need something that can be reliable and get you around.
