Yes, thats right, I'm kicking around the idea of another Syclone. I miss my old truck, and I'd like to get back into a Sy. I'd like to have something I can get into fairly cheap, something that needs some work. Basically, I really want to build a white/white Syclone. So instead of buying a mint low mileage truck, I'm looking for something thats smashed or needs work(I have plenty of parts, so if it needs some stuff, I probably have it already). If I can get a smashed truck, I'll go down south and get a nice clean rust free body, paint it, then drop it on the original Sy frame. Or if someone has a un-finished project truck thats in a million pieces, that would be ok also. That would be nice, because it'll be easy to paint the firewall with the powertrain out. If I paint one, obviously it'll be a rust free body, it'll get painted white, and it will get painted the right way, including door jams, firewall, inside the box, ect.

I keep finding cheap Typhoons, like all the ones on craigslist and such, but I'd really rather have a Syclone. If you guys hear of anything, please let me know....

Depends on the truck. If it's complete, or missing parts, or smashed or?? I mean, I understand where you're coming from, "cheap" is a relative term. I will consider any options that are in the $6k or less price range.

I would like to stay in the $3-4k range, but I know they will probably be few and far between. Then again, I've seen AT LEAST a dozen Typhoons in the $3-4k price range in the last 6 months. All of them needed work, but thats perfect for me. I passed on a nice project Syclone close to me not long ago, I should have bought it. It was all there, complete, but it the powertrain was out of the truck and completely disassembled. That one sold for $3200.

That didn't take long. :) Less then a week from my original post! Just picked Syclone #187 today. And a Ty too!

And they were right down the street from you. Hopefully you, Bob and Cindy got a decent deal out of it. Start posting the pictures!
