I think the better tearm would be "beat the living dog spit"

i thought i was pretty gentle to it. I only made 3 or 4 passes at the track with it. I'd just installed the tranny in it the previous weekend so i was babying it a little. Otherwise i woulda layed into it.

It comes back to the age old debate of: is it still a syty if it's 2wd or if it has a v8.

Some argue its a syty if the VIN says it is, so do whatever you want to it. V8's, 2wd, twin turbos what have you. Others say that what seperates sytys from S-10's is the power/drivetrain, so it should stay intact...turbo V6, AWD. Basically saying they are what they are because they're defined by the powertrain.

I would agree with the vin tag, it doesn't matter what's under the hood, it's all vin plate. Put what ever you want in it or under it, as long as the vinplate is original and there it is a ty or sy.

And I do not agree with VIN tag.
Is a Grand National a turbo-charged V8? Does a 25th Ann. TTA got a 4-banger in it?
But....it's your truck, f*ck it up as you see fit.

So if a person pulls out the turbo v-6 and drops in a ls-1 turbo is it just a sonoma then?

Re: so let me get this straight you can swap an ls1 in these trucks and keep awd?

Just do the smart thing. Drop the turbo V8 and xfer case into a 4wd Blazer or Sonoma. That way no ones feelings get hurt and you still get the best of both worlds.

if u put a v8 you take the fun of it how do u make a v6 beat a v8 that what fun and vin are important but remember maching number means having everything original
