Did you cut the back layer of the tint with your plotter or by hand. I want to do the same to mine when I get a chance. Do you have the sy and ty logo I could use a vetorized copy in eps or ai. I use Flexi Sign for my plotter.

Actually the piece that touches the glass first is cut out. The back piece is solid to protect the design from peeling.. You always want a solid background to protect your work..

I only have the TY logo.. I cant seem to find the SY logo..

Here is the TY logo that is going on the back window... Almost 37" long and 7" tall.. Chrome background with a transparent Red on top.. I hope to have time to redo my back window this week..

Must have patience grasshopper... I am tinting an undercover car for one of the Police departments near me right now... If I have no other work after that, I will lay it up on the rear window.. No worries. And yes. You will still be able to see out of the logo since it is tint...

I was talking about the backing that is for protecting it. I know their is a program that has all the cars windows set up to cut on a plotter. I seen it a shop but I always just cut the backing by hand. I know the logo you did is done one the plotter. Who do you get the color tint from? No one around here has it and Im going to have do to my own but I need colored tint. Thanks for the info looks sick thats the same colors I would use. I think this film is from "SunTek" They sell a few different colors. "SolarTech" also sells colors.

I use to use the program that has all of the vehicle patterns at my shop in CA.. "ComputerCut" But I have not signed up for it here. I can cut the windows out faster by hand than I can on the plotter. And since I really only used the program for custom windows at the time, I dont have much of that here. And for $3500 initial payment and then $100 per month, it really isnt worth it for me right now.

I did cut out the TY logo on my plotter. However, I had to go back over it with my knife. I think my plotter needs a "Tuneup". But it is goo practice for me since it has been a while..

I will send you the logo. But I am not sure if you will be able to use it due to the fact that it is saved in CADLink on my computer.. I have not been able to download my version of FlexiPro on this computer for some reason so I have been using Signlab 5.0

The red is just a transparent red. With a 20% Chrome house film behind it.. The Chrome gives it that "Anodized" look... If it didnt have the Chrome behind it, it would be very hard to see.

You should become a vendor and sell Typhoon and Syclone rear tint. Send it to them, they put it on. Maybe its more complicated then that, but I'm sure you could make some money on the side if the price is reasonable. Its to bad the market is not bigger, but I guess that's what you get with a rare vehicle.

I am not sure if someone wants to spend $250.00 for a complete TY back window.. But it would be already made and just needs to be put on... I can do it if someone wants it.

I'm sure it takes much of your time, how much do materials cost and how many hours to you wrap up in making one?

Honestly.... Without even installing all of it today, I was in it 4+ hours With just labor... But you know what? If you are the only one around with it on your car. I dont see it being an issue of cost. You will be different.

At the moment I can do them in red like the one I posted. Or I also have Yellow. Either way. It will stand out and you will be the only one around to have it. Its really personalized.... Thats what I like about doing this stuff. No 2 like them

Man..... Not even 24 hours and I am already bored with it... Looks like I will be coming up with another design for next week... I guess we will see..
