I was thinking to give him control of the gofundme too, except that it's my personal account linked to my facebook and has my personal information including bank account info in there. If he wants though, he could make his own gofundme account and copy/paste the info from the page I made into his own and then I could take mine down, leaving him in charge of his own fundraiser and earnings. Whether he decides that he wants himself or me running the page, either way is fine with me. It's to get his money back anyway not to help me

The member TNPhoon got me his phone number and I called and spoke to his wife and told her that he owed me money. She was nice on the phone and took my name and number.

He is moving?
Has been arrested? (eg in jail)
Recently lost his job?
Divorce?
Computer problems?
Sick or family terminal illness?

If you are theoretically in any of the above circumstances- is it your priority to to pay an internet sale ? Just sayin'

Both buyer and seller are at fault here IMO.

Seller for shipping prior to payment. PAYPAL or USPS money order. (cash if local) That's it. No exceptions.

Buyer for not pinging the seller an update to his circumstances and reassurance of payment.

The fact that you got through to his wife should help. -But until you get any response -let's not judge without the facts from both sides. Although I would admit- two months is a long time to go without payment. I would get itchy too.

Just an opinion. Flame if you must. :rant:

100% agree! Almost without exception, I'd send out something to anyone here before payment was received. Lord knows, most of you have helped me out in one way or another over the last several years, including sending me something I needed before I had a chance to pay. This is a great community, that I'm proud to be part of!

I've met Fred a handful of times. Honesty, integrity and principle mean more than $70. Regardless of the excuse, some honesty could have avoided this whole thread...Jim
