The Year One Experience - May 18th - 20th - Braselton, GA <---Click me!!
FYI - Braselton is approximately 1 hour North of Atlanta directly off I-85.
This is an awesome show every year. I went two years ago and the turnout was awesome. There were show cars of every kind: mini's, hot rod's, ricers, etc... Hell, even if you can't bring your truck, bring SOMETHING!! You'll find a spot to fit in!!
I'll let you read the website but I do have to mention that we get to run our trucks on the track!!!! (PARADE LAPS ONLY, no hot laps) for a small nominal fee. I plan on doing this!!! For those of you who don't know, Road Atlanta is a one-of-a-kind track that is home to Petit LeMans and Sport Bike events yearly. In other words, this is a REAL road track that is pretty awesome!!!
I'm sure there is a cost to get in the gate, but I don't remember. It will probably be in the website. If I remember correctly, it will probably be $10 to $20. So start saving now if that's going to be a problem. We're talking only $2.00 per week and you should be able to cover it!!!
There is also a tight autocross course, burnout contest, CAR SHOW, and I believe there will be a day of drag racing in Commerce (approximately 20 miles North of Braselton). If I remember correctly, you get in FREE to Commerce if you've paid for the ticket to the "experience." I'm not sure on a cost on the Car Show. [If you are reading on the website and see these costs, please PM me so I can change the info on here, I read it all last month and just don't feel like doing that again!!]
I hope to see some of you guys there, I think I've already got 4 or 5 guys willing to make it. I also think the dates should be AFTER most guys are out of school and not quite back into summer school (if applicable) so this should help get attendance up.
If any of you guys have a hook-up with Mini-Truckin' Magazine or anything else like that, we should try to get someone out there. Again, this won't just be a "meet" between S-Series guys, this is a nationwide MAJOR event. I know Car-Craft will be there, American Muscle Car, Dream Car Garage, Rides and Horsepower TV should also be there per the website.

I've also looked up a cool campground that I used to hang out at when I was in High School. It is on Lake Lanier (approximately 20 minutes from Road Atlanta). You can park your truck (or camper) there, it has electricity, a "bath-house" so you can stay clean, water, etc... It used to be really cool because it's kind of secluded so you can light fires and hang out, etc... I don't think they allow alcohol so we couldn't bring that :goldie:
Sawnee Campsite - GEORGIA
Please PM me if you do want to get a campsite, we should probably have 3 trucks per campsite, they're big enough for 4 or 5 tents but only allow 3 trucks each campsite. We could possibly park one or two trucks at my house if we had to. It's about 15 minutes away. -PS, the campsites are approximately $23 per night with a 2-night minimum. AND they fill up so we should reserve early. If I get a "commitment" from 2 other guys I'll foot the bill until May. Again, just PM me and let me know.
Please advertise this to your buddies, clubs, etc... These things are always much better if there are more people there.
