Re: Southern NATS caravan?

Rodney,Jeremy i havent traveled the will rogers turnpike to kansas from tulsa before. isnt it fairly new. I believe it is faster or worth the toll fee's in my opinion, less traffic, no towns, stoplights and so on. I havent looked at a map to go from tulsa to overland park. all i know is that Jeremy has stated it takes 4-1/2 hours from tulsa to the hotel i would assume. It's 7-1/2 hours from houston to tulsa, I have no plans on where to stay yet. My girlfriend is wanting to stay at her friends new house in a out of the way side of town not in the greatest area for my Typhoon to sleep outside. I could drop her off and we could all pitch in on a hotel room or two and hit a bar or two that evening. I would say getting into tulsa about 5 sounds fair. We could pick up Jeremy and maybe have some dinner at his restuarant. Rodney are you coming in to tulsa via hwy75 or the turnpike? we have to drop off the kid at the grandparents in tulsa so i might just plan on getting there at 4. If you can pick up Jeremy Rodney then i could be ready to meet you guys by the time you get into tulsa. Bruce had mentioned to me he will be coming with some friends/family and towing either his sy or ty so maybe he would be interested in making the trip to tulsa and staying the night there for the drive in the morning to overland park. I'd like to get to overland around 12 to eat some lunch and get all our trucks washed up and looking good from the long drive. I will supply all the detailing equipment for the croud that decides to caravan from texas/new mexico(rodney). I've got a good source for all my detailing needs stationed out of broken arrow tulsa, i've been using there products sence the first day i used them. They are fairly enexpensive and the results are awsome. I might bring my makita buffer and offer some full details for a fairly cheap price. There rubbing compounds and finish's are outstanding results on old paint with a good buff massage. waiting in line for the water hose at nats sucks unless you show early. Ya i'll have room for some coolers Rodney.

you have a kid??

He's not "mine" but he thinks of me like his dad, most of the time calls me Erik. He's going to be 5 in december. His "dad" which doesnt even deserve the right to be called that is the biggest loser and has disowned him for years after being abusive, he calls him a bad guy and not even dad, by his name. Anyway his mom is great and we go way back, middle school.

Well Eri"K", have you made any progress as far as the hotel/motel goes for the overnighter in Tulsa? I hate to admit but the route proposed by Rodney up 75/Will Rogers is the best route. I should be getting in Tulsa around 10:30 pm that night but I think you guys will be there way before me. Let Rodney know because I think he said he might be getting into Tulsa around 5pm. Why Rodney would want to be in Tulsa of all places that early is beyond me! :rotf:

I kinda want to get out of NM early so that I dont get to Tulsa late, dark, and confusing. I have no idea where to go once I get to Tulsa. Dont want to take a wrong turn and get an STD or something... ;)

Re: Southern NATS caravan

I just told my new previous job that i had that time planned off with family already before i was hired. Congrats on the job at S&S dude. Rodney dont be scared we will be getting into Tulsa about 9:30-10pm and we could meet up with you south where 75 turns into the turnpike. When we get into Tulsa Jared has to be dropped off at the grandparents right off 75. after that I figure we could go check into one the hotels by my old place in broken arrow, Jeremy said it would be nice for him cause he has to leave his truck down the street at a friends house from there. I also wouldnt have a problem with leaving my truck outside in that area. There are two hotels, not sure on price they are both Hiltons right next to eachother. located right off the ba express way and there are like a dozen resteruants around them. I'll get some info later tonite, so those for sure that are caravaning can make reservations. I figure we could just bunk it up in a few rooms. Im not sure how many Bruce is bringing or if he is interested in staying in Tulsa or not. I will get a mapquest togather tonite of my route from Houston, Bruce and company can plan on meeting up in Dallas and Rodney at Hwy75@creeknation turnpike in Okiehoma. Im leaving out of htown @ 2pm

Having Renz and Eric as drinking buddys again will be worth the trip! woffle ball and denny's will have to be on the to do list.

I'm having problems getting a tune from Turbo Time on his custom cam. I might have to stick with a 415 cam to run full potential.:(

Re: Southern NATS caravan

Soooooooooooooo............Eri"K"...... What are these hotels in Tulsa you are talking about and where? I will be off that entire week so I'm just gonna meet Rod whenever he gets there which I think might be around 5 to 7 pm? He likes hitting all the rest stops that have bathrooms so it might take him awhile due to his adventures there. I'm gonna go ahead and look into a room(s) in Tulsa here pretty soon. You're gonna be in a XXX suite right? ;)

Our group is leaving Houston about 2pm and it's about 8 hours to Tulsa. 4-1/2 to Kansas
City Kansas from Tulsa, i think. Bruce's group is leaving Austin on Thursday i think.

Jeremy, yes i know i've been meaning to reserve or find a hotel for us to stay at. It's getting real close. I've been busy with house closing and work and so on. I'll look tonite
again. I had trouble finding the ones on 71st and Garnett on the net, there are two marriot courtyards there beside eachother. I know there is a marriot at 71st lewis also. As long as it's not super expensive. Holiday Inn somewhere on 71st also.
