I came upon one on miramar road its a long 4 lane busy street by my house. It was a blue 5 speed with intake and x pipe. I weaved in and out stopping and flooring till we met right next to each other at a light. He looks over at me and i smiled he looked straight so i honked at him and pointed straight ahead then he smiled and gave me thumbs up, i put it in D and launched that stall up, green came and poof i was gone l, it had to be the best launch iv done. 5 cars later im lookin back with a shit eatin grin on my face he catches up and he sez daaaaaam those things are fast and i simply said "if you only knew".

How much of a power boost do you get from the ic pump switched is it noticeable

hotwireing it?....when its hotwired its a lot better cause it keeps everything cooler when its not it only goes on when it gets to a certain temperature...you should get a bigger one and then hotwire it...if you hotwire the stock one it will probally blow up cause it's old...the truck will probally feel a little quicker once its done...i dunno cause mine was already done b4 i got it.

That's no good,because once it's heatsoaked,it will pretty much stay heatsoaked.
Turning the pump on when you first start the engine helps keep the IC cooler.

id love to say my truck runs 12s but i dont think so,maby he was a bad driver or my ty is the poo.

The other three or so 6.0 GTO's were in the mid to high 13's @ about 101-103 MPH

GTO's are lame. I have yet to race one that can give me even a decent run. Everyone always say what they can do and I believe it but around here I guess people dont want to spend the money. So far, every one of them that I have raced has had serious traction issues. Ive driven two of them and found the same problem. They suck to launch. As far as the IC switch goes, I have mine hotwired with a switch under my dash. I leave it on all the time unless I have to have that IC pump not running for whatever reason.

My buddy has a 6.0 and wont even race me, he always says " if you beat me in your $15,000 truck I will sell the GTO the same day " ... he hates that he paid 2x's as much and isnt the fastest car in our group of friends anymore, haha!!! ---

A 6 speed is the only manual trans pontiac offered for the GTO, there is no 5 speed.

Like everyone else has said before me, If it is a 5 speed from the factory, you better find it and buy it as it will be worth more than any Syclone or Typhoon will ever be.:rotf: :rotf:
