Do a search for other "custom" rims and see what pricing you find. By custom I mean your design, not an off the shelf design. I think you will find the price is in line.

In person they look better than pictures, I like them and that comes from someone that hates the look of stock rims.

Re: Sportmachine 18" wheels

For reference here is a USED set of forgeline rims, not even custom design

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Forgeline-D...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c63584e95&vxp=mtr

$3700 USED

New they are $5k++++++

Rims are like jeans. You can go to walmart find a pair of jeans for $10, you can go to Sears, get some Levi's for $40, or you can get a set of Jeans custom made to truly fit your ass for $400+.

The only ones that are made to fit your ass are expensive, now the other all fit, and from 20ft away probably look the same.

In the end its what you want vs what your willing to spend.

I wear Levi's, now if I won the lottery I might get a designer pair or 2 though and know they fit me perfectly. Instead I am stuck showing a little butt crack though.

They look amazing up close. Won't show those pretty big brakes tho. Support Sportmachines, they are one of the few vendors out there whos business is to support the SyTy community.

if that was truly the case, they would have more etiquette when dealing with customers, instead of treating them like they come dime a dozen, i know from personal experience!

IMO I wouldn't spend the money, I'd rather buy some CCW's or HRE's

This is not the place for this discussion, but I don't like it when we get called out. We take our reputation very seriously, and try to satisfy each customer that does business with us. Each customer is important to us and we've never taken the people who choose to do business with us for granted. If you'd like to discuss our alleged lack of etiquette please contact us directly, or do it in your own thread.

Couldn't agree more! Top shelf rims are fantastic but unfortunately I have to show some crack as well...

everyone thats been to a show that sportmachines has attended in the last 2 years has seen them up close.

they look killer in the photos
correct

Im liking the options with the directional wheels and valve stem location
as does everyone that considers them

and? you're looking at buying wheels becuase you obviously don't have the means to make, and probably not to design your own. You aren't just paying for some metal that happens to make your truck move and seal a tire onto. you're paying for a lot of research, multiple rounds of design, artist renderings, research, prototypes, final design, machine time, machining setup fees/time, fitment time, shipping & handling, and lots of other behind the scenes thing. They could list these for whatever they wanted to...it's their design, their product - their call.

I'm willing to be you don't own many original paintings. Are they just some canvas and paint...possibly with a frame.....should only cost $50 regardless of how nice the end result is? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....holds true for other kinds of "art", technology, products, etc.

Even if they didn't build in any profit to attempt to cover priceless things like time, or already spent $ on prototyping....i'm willing to bet the actual costs would still render these too expensive to your opinion.

it's you.

Has anyone purchased these?
not yet.

Re: Sportmachine 18" wheels

no one bought these yet? no shit!!

I like em alot, but i just can't justify it at the moment to buy these, altough i prolly will buy a set of these in the future. 5k or not, there is nothing that looks like these do!

Re: Sportmachine 18" wheels

Im sure that sprotmachine stands behind everything they sell and is a hugh part in providing the hard to locate items for our trucks.

I apologize if I have affended anyone Im not questioning anyone reputation i should have asked the question a little differently.

Re: Sportmachine 18" wheels

I talked to Tom as soon as I saw pic of them two years ago and was ready and willing to buy these wheels as they are definately a beautiful piece of art. Had I not stumbled across some CCW Classics I would have these on my truck. It takes $$$$ to stand out and to be different in the wheel world. Anyone that buys SportMachines wheels will definately stand out 100% and have something unique.

i don't get into these kinda silly comments, but etiquette? and dime a dozen customers? :rotf:thats rich. they are straight shooters. super nice guys that always pick up their phone/emails. they are dedicated to a super small community. truth of the matter is, im sure they get allot of tire kickers and people that "waste" their time without any intentions of buying anything from them. are YOU one of those guys? i got nothing to say but nice things about them. and like your mom probobly told you when you were little, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
