I had a feeling this thread coudl get a littel hairy. Especially now that I am reading it :rotf: :rotf: . No seriously... :syty: I always tend to get a little crappy when these posts come up because I dont understand why someone would come on a particular type of board and just kinda brag about what thier car can do. I remember about 6 months ago a guy from a GTI forum or some shit came on here telling us how amazing GTi's are when modded. I had to tell him how it is. I sometimes feel like joining another forum and bragging about the SYTY's. I wonder what kind of feedback I would get. I realize you didnt start out this way in this thread but the further it goes the more it seems this is your intention. I think most people here know what most cars can do modded and the reminder is probably not needed. At any rate, I feel this way because as far as I can see, you dont even have a SYTY and your postseems like it was started to prove that your SRT4 is amazing. IMO, I dont see the point. Good luck with your car.

Man, I'd love to race an SRT-4 with mods. Never lined up with one. If anyone in the San Jose area has a modded SRT-4, let me know and we can line it up. I'll keep the boost at 17psi on 91 pump gas, promise

There used to be that Sunday night meet at the Starbucks on Lawrence and El Camino. There were a bunch of modded SRT-4's goin out back then. I haven't been out there in awhile though.

Every Srt owner i know around here WILL NOT race from a dig, its only " we can get it from a roll" or even the oh so great " lets get it from a 40mph roll".....bitch please!!!!! If you wannna run umm, from a dig is how you get it.....Oh yea, for at least $100 also.............

I have a camera but no one to hold it cause when you add an extra 200 lbs for someone to hold a camera just to prove to someone else that i won you wont be as quick....

Ummmm, here's some food for thought; If you strategically position your camera-man (or woman) at the 1/4 mile mark, you won't suffer any additional weight and your claim to fame will be able to be viewed by all. Just please make sure the camera is running . Target your "kill" to a SS, Lightning or Cobra (I think that is the car you were hanging with while spinning the tires in 2nd)......this I have to see.

I think this thread has turned into yet another "my car can do this.....oh yeah? well mine can do this..." type of situation. There really is no point or need for crap like that. Any vehicle can be fast, be it a Gremlin or a Wrangler. Point is, sure someones car may be fast, but in what aspect? If you can only win races from a roll, then good for you, go race other vehicles that perform well from a roll. How about if your vehicle only does good from a dead stop? Well then, do standing-start races with other vehicles that do well from a stop. Comparing a top-end machine to a bottom-end machine is like comparing an apple to a kiwi. :2cents:
I think a clause needs to be added to the "Guidelines" that prevents "arms races" and bashing.

Mine is not stock it has a 3" turbo back exhaust w / no cat dumped, and the wonderful spring mod ( whick is basicly a ghetto mod) Im boosting 19 spike and holding 15 to redline. When it was completly stock had it dynoed before any mods for a base and it put down 230 WHP and 247 TQ all stock. I was very impressed needless to say. I still need to get another dyno done to see what Im putting down now.

As far as kills not much has seen the front end of my car none the less. These cars are f-in quick in the stock form. Lightnings, Z-28, cobras, and T/As are no match. I would really like some good runs and I figured the only 2 vehicles I could think of would be the Typhoon and the Syclone. If any body in the DFW area would like to meet up I would love the chance to see how I would pair against the only real competition <<dont know if I spelled that right but oh well. Let me know.

:rotf: Sorry bro....a stock srt 4 is not going to give an LS1 or a s/c cobra a run unless the driver screws up. A stage 2 would be different and would hang. A stock srt 4 would probably hang with or beat 95-98 cobras and hang with LT1 maro's and bird's. I've smashed so many srt4's in my SS when it was stock. Modded is a different story. Why wouldn't an Srt4 with an upgraded turbo and bov and other mods match and or beat an LS1 or s/c cobra? Run modded one's with your modded srt and I think more cars will "see the front end of your car". I'm not bashing the srt4, it's cheap and quick, but not flawless like you portray it to be.

This is sort of what I was getting at. Problem with me is not when peoploe have a faster car wheather it be modded or not. I just dont get why someone would join a forum just to brag about it when its a forum that has nothing to do with they own. Perhaps there shoudl be a rule about this? I dont think his intension was to BASH. But bash and brag are different and I see bragging. Bragging about your SRT4 in the KILLS sec of this forum is plain lame IMO. Maybe if htis wouldve been put into the OF TOPIC section it would be a different story.

I never started bashing till someone started bashing me. As far as bragging about my kills someone said I could not beat this and I could not beat that. So I began to list my kills. Then when I said well I knew someone could not be civil and started bashing on me I got replies from you guys saying oh its a forum if you cant handle constructive critisim then dont post, or its a message board what do u expect. Well I was wondering when someone would pull the why are you posting here you dont even own a TY or a SY crap. Why worry about the extra weight of a camera man I mean with the power that neon is making to be getting all those kills who cares. I've lined up with another 200lb person next to me and a full keg in the back and the only thing I was worried about was foaming up my beer not an extra 200 some pounds. As for the :syty: you are on a SyTy forum what do you expect I mean seriously if you came in saying SRTs RULE I would just have to say :stupid:

You came right out and said that LS1s are no match. In reality, you can throw all the fancy ass parts you want on that neon, and still manage a whopping et of maybe mid 12s (face it, its still a neon). An LS1 can strap on a 150 shot, for half the money, and hit 11's. Face it little boy, youre no match for the big dogs. And you asked how the sytys match against the SR..whatevers. As a former owner of a ty all I have to say is, theyll just turn up the boost.

I never said that you claimed to beat a s/c cobra (if you did though, it would just add one more check in the BS column for you) I said that you wouldn't run with one if you were in stock form. What does your srt run in the 1/4 anyway?
