Lets see if I got this correct (using your own words):

"For about a year my wheel has been oozing some nasty goo.
It is as if the wheel has suddenly broken down.
It only oozes when it is warm and the hotter it is, the more it oozes.
It wasn't that bad when I put it away, but oozed onto the fabric.
I couldn't get it out. I took it to a shop and they were able to apply something to get it out.
Now every time it gets hot, I have to "scrape" the ooze.
The weird part is that its not getting any thinner, despite being squeezed.
The wheel is soft when it's hot.
Has anyone seen this?
I have a friend but when I talked to him about it, he had no idea.
I like the wheel a lot but was hoping to learn what made this one fail.

One Year Later....

Well on one hand, this joke is a year old and I think it's time to lay it to rest. Though I know how SyTy.net loves to keep a stale joke..... stale.. for years to come.

On the other hand, this actually was a blessing in disguise for both you and me! You all got a good laugh, and I got a brand new steering wheel!

Makes it feel like a brand new truck and a handful of people have noticed & commented when checking out my truck.... All in all I'm really glad I got the "opportunity" to upgrade it. :tup:

0005 had this problem before I bought it. had brand new wheel installed when I picked it up.

I had a 87 Ford EXP that oozed black goo. It was nasty.

camaros were notorious for this. i hope this doesn't happen to my Sy wheel
