im tryin to get a syty motor to put in an 85 el camino that had a 4.3L. i bought the camino a few years ago as a daily driver to and from skool, now that the engine is slowly going i was going to just swap it out with a 350, but i would of had to pop off that 4.3 emblem, then i was talkin to some friends and they told me bout syty's, i though bout it for a while, and now im gona do it as soon as i get my motor. a lot of people are like its an camino just put the 350 in it dont play with those 6 cylinders any more, i dont care what people have to say. the reason im doing this is b/c i want to! those who say i shouldnt waste the money on a 6 thats slow are only pushing me further into doing this, so that i can prove them wrong. so if u dont like it feel free to tell me bout it, but its not gona stop me from doing it. ill try to keep this updated on how it works out.

I've got a couple of 80's caminos myself. Just bought one the other day. '84 w/ a 454 in it to get the engine block. But for $600 running w/ a clean title, I may drive it for a while first...

You getting a complete package with the ECM and everything? It ought to be a lot of fun once you get it installed. I hesitate to think how much fun it would be to try and convince the stock elky computer (if it has one :lol: ) to work with the turbo and run right.

finisihing my 78 elcamino now as we speak i work at a junkyard and i came across a 92 typhoon that the local technical school was sending to the crusher put it this way i have every part from down to the the carpet and floor installed in my beauty all work and farb done my self want pics and u shall recive

ill have to look for the vin at work tommarow and get back to u on that for waht i can see on the build sheet it was built 07-02-92
