Run two 12" electric fans on a 30 amp fuse with a toggle switch so you can just turn them on and off at your command. Its nice to be able to run your fans with the truck turned off. Its a good way to keep things cool at the drag strip and while your sitting in the staging lanes. I have run this way all spring so far and it works real well.
People say you cant feel some mods perfromance wise but I think the E fans helped me pick up some noticable power.

Do not go flex fan unless you want the fan to flex into your radiator.

I notice my truck currently runs at normal temps but i am an a/c guy and i know in the summer time when i want to take it out for a ride i am going to need more cooling. My past experience is that i need to shut off a/c if im in a MINOR traffic jam or just cruising lightly becasue the temp goes up fast. I already have the 160 thermostat but i dont think thats good enough. So any info would be appreciated.
thanks

Brassmonkey said:Years ago (in the 70's) a car magazine, I think it was Car Craft or Popular HotRodding, did a test of radiator fans on a Chevelle. The stock clutch fan made the most horsepower and best cooling combination. If the clutch is working correctly, there isn't any drain of horspower on the motor at speed and you don't have to worry about the motor burning out, fuse blowing, or relay failing. That does not take into account advances made in materials since then. An electric fan does give a little more room to work.

NecroWolf said:electric fans are the way to go, more room less clutter, you can switch it on while truck is off, and you can get a stainless radiator mount
