Stock fuel injectors, W340 pump and adj. fuel regulator? ?

I notice my Ty is hard to warm up gotta keep the throttle on it till it gets good and warm to stay running on it's own, also smells of fuel rich when idling. My question is on the stock injectors and that big of a fuel pump how much fuel pressure should I have on my gauge? I want to be able to fire it up and walk away. I'm assuming at WOT the pressure will increase because of the vacuum on the regulator? Right now I have it set with idle it's showing 40lbs. Idk what it is at WOT cause well the gauge is on the fuel rail of course. Any help is appreciated

I believe on a stock truck the number people try to shoot for on fuel pressure is 42 (with vacuum hose unplugged).

The fuel pressure increases under WOT, but because of the boost not vacuum, one pound of FP for every one pound of boost.

A lot people extend the pressure gauge and tape it to the wind sheild to be able to test FP under WOT, that or install a gauge.

Ok I set mine are 40 with the vacuum hose unplugged. I guess I'm right in the ball park. But wonder why I'm rich at idle making it die unless I hold the throttle for about 3 min. Also at WOT my Wideband is showing 10 that's extremely rich Imo as well.

Of course mine isn't completely stock. But with my supporting mods should I have more or less then?

I cant recall off the top, I'm sure someone else will remember or try and search those symptoms. I want to say it could be a could things like a bad IAC, or TPS not adjusted properly. Too many variables.

Here's one to read after a quick search

Hook up a scan tool & check your counts on the IAC. Which chip do you have? You may need to disconnect the battery & let the computer relearn the idle process.

I was told it's a RPM chip for the stage 1 turbo.

Are you on a mobile device? I have that problem on my phone, it's usually fine if you're at a computer.

If you are trying to use "search" with your phone, you need to click search and then advanced search. At least that's what I have to do
