Whats wrong with saying something is hot? Cant use the old 1990s saying here? :dunno: :screwy: Or are the hotcakes jokes being taken personally now'? hehe

What do you mean sand it smoother? Take some sand paper and kill off some of the roughness?

Instant boost to 6 psi then the blower becomes dead-wieght. It's fun rowing through the gears w/ blower hangin' outta the hood.

howmuch fab work did u need to do to get that to bolt up??
One pulley, one tensioner out of a junk yard and two pieces of aluminum one for each side of the blower.

It's actually pretty simple. BTW, the way mine is built, it will fit any stock SyTy and allow you to keep everything but your hood.

As an FYI, Eastwood makes a aluminum paint that looks very close to actual aluminum. Great for cleaning crusted aluminum parts up.

I tried the Duplicolor on my intake, but the aluminum is too shiny looking. The sucky clear they have is too yellow, also. Also, they have a product called cast-coat aluminum that's supposed to make parts look like cast iron. It makes them a greenish-gray. Ugh.

I wasn't gonna paint the transfer case, but it's sitting in the corner, whimpering at me...

Later,

Re: Stock Intake Cleaning/Painting/Polishing

I think this is the DupliColor that was mentioned. I remember it was the high heat ceramic coat stuff (silver/black label?) and pretty sure the brand was DupliColor. So far the paint is holding up very well and I see no signs of flaking or chipping. The thing I liked about it was although it looks textured, it's actually very smooth which maked cleaning a breeze.

btw... these are on the GT

I was just looking at at Eastwoods goodies the other day. I want to buy a couple cans of each.

Not even close to Mike's job.... but here's mine (have re-done the IC lines and EGR delete since this was taken). TB needs a lot of work... will probably go with a new one since I'm not happy with the throttle shaft play on this one.

This may be true, but his truck is a work of art and has most likely cause more accidents than anyone else on this forum from people taking a 2nd look while driving with that blower sticking out of the hood.:rotf:
