Stock Radio inop

When I got the typhoon it had everyhting original inlcuding the cd player. Figured it would work because of the trucks history. However this thing wont suck a cd into it. It looks like there are two little black plastic "stoppers" keeping me from being able to insert a disc. Does this thing have a cd jammed in it? Any suggestions?

OK, i take it no one has had this issue. Can anyone tell me who makes a dash kit that doesnt look like shit. The ones i've seen lately hang out and look terrible.

I dont even get a noise, just nothing. I'll probably have to upgrade to after market. I was just hoping to be able to spend the money on more important stuff than audio. I like music, but i love driving.

Why don't you send it in for repair? That what I did for the Syclone. It came back like brand new with a 1 year warranty on everything.

Re: Stock Radio inop

where did you take your stereo to get fixed

I have a dealer contact out here that takes really good care of me. He had it sent out to the factory that does all of GM Radio and Cluster repair. Turn around time was 2 weeks.

Re: Stock Radio inop

The dealerships around here send them to a company based in florida, and they have another place in cleveland. Sorry can't remember the name of it. Sometimes it would be an exchange, or if they didn't have one on hand they would fix the one you send in.
