Stock tire sizes

1) Stock size is 245/50/16 right? What size can be put on these trucks before you start getting rub in the front at full lock? Also can you put a wider tire on the rear as long as the profile/height is the same?

2) Anyone heard of Fuzion tires. They are supossedly made by Firestone. Any good? I know the price is good. $106 for 245/50/ZR16 installed.

3) Anyone got any polishing tips on doing the stock wheels. I'd like to give it a try if it's worth it.

I have them on my Ty. About 2000 miles on them right now. Haven't driven in rain or snow, so I can't answer how good they are in that aspect, but otherwise, I'm happy. You might want to check around on prices, I think I only paid $62/each for mine before installation. I'm also the parts manager at a dealership, so I got a deal on them, but you should be able to find them cheaper.

Are your tires the Z or W rating. Today was the first I heard of the so I will have to check around.

I'll have to check. Didn't pay that much attention. I'll try to remember to check when I get home.

I believe the Fuzion tires are W rated. I have about 3,000 miles on mine and have driven in the snow and rain with them. I didn't have any problem with them at all.

Re: Stock tire sizes

Thanx guys. I checked out perelli and toyo today and they are V and Z rated for about $115, not bad for a quality tire. I'm still looking for some polishing tips for the factory wheels.

A tire you might want to try is the (BFGoodrich Traction T/A H/V) I put these on my Truck and I really like them. They have great traction in wet or dry. I have about 6000 miles on them and they are better than the original Firestones that came on our trucks.
