Stock Tranny?

I only plan on running high 12 in my typhoon for now so my question is should I rebuild the stock tranny back to factory or do I need to get one of those very expenisve upgraded rebuild kits? Or if I am going to spend that kind of money just buy a new one from the factory? Any suggestions would be appreciatedl.

Since my truck is female and still has the stock tranny, that must make her a lesbian

You can run high 12s on a mild build (good frictions, stock servo, bigger TV valve, drill valve body plate, etc.. there's a couple other low cost tricks) and a good torque converter.

And whatever you do, replace the aluminum forward clutch piston with the steel one.
