SyTy,

At this time I have purchased the Ostrich, GP1 Adaptor, PLX WB02. This weekend I had started on the code 59 adventure. I had installed everything when the ecu was on the floor, everything went pretty well. From the code 59 website I downloaded the recommended XDF, ADL and stock bin and took her out for a spin. The truck seemed to run a little rough at idle, but AFR was good at 10.5 and little to no knock. At the end of the day I was buttoning up every thing and was going to mount the Ostrich in the glove box (very dame tight - cable is only 2 ft long), none the less I bent the pins on the end of the ribbon cable (S#%$) nothing is ever easy. So I just ordered a 3 foot cable so I can install the cable on the floor run it up under the dash and then into the Ostrich in the glove box.

Request from the community:

* If you have any tips or tricks with setting flags let me know the must does (I am reading the ppt 101 and 102 on Code 59).

* If you have a XDF, ADL and bin that you know works please send them to me.

* If you have any general advice about how to attack code 59 please let me know

*Lastly if you have a bin that will work with my setup and goal, please send it to me, I will work with Autotune to work on improving it for my truck.

My Goal: 13.3 ET, 18 psi - 20 psi no knock (utilize my Alky Kit if needed)

My Truck:
54,000 miles (Stock)
Alky Control (Progressive)
50 base fuel pressure - with Walboro 255 pump, Accufab Fuel Pressure Reg
Base Timing 0 degrees TDC
Stock Turbo, Injectors, IC, Engine, Trans
New plugs NGK UR5 gap .030
New plug wires Taylor and Cap and Rotor
IC Pump hardwired, Johnson Pump, Relocated IC Rad and upgraded pluming
No muffler, Cat is still on it, stock downtube
PLX WB02 installed 36 inch from turbo with 15 degree bung, New 02 in stock location

Well I think that is that, I have got a lot of studying to do with code 59, thanks for all of your help.

Re: Stock Turbo, $59 Need Bin, XDF and ADL

Use the starter bin, xdf, and adx for Code59 from the link I provided you in your other thread. It'll only take a few keystrokes to iron out the differences since your truck is stock.

Edit: I see you got the starter stuff, good. You may not find a starter bin any closer than that due to the availability of pure stock bins for Code59. Add to that the adjustments made for elevation by those around the country and you'll likely have better results starting from "scratch".

Keep in mind a starter bin is basically just a bin to get your truck running so you can start tuning. It may not be to far off. But it probably will be. At least they were for me.

In tunerpro did you set the WB to PLX and make sure none of the other WB types have a check in the box?

What was your AFR at idle?

First after you make sure the WB flag is set. Adjust table F28 in fueling to get your AFR around 14.7ish or somewhere around that. Were your truck idle smooth.

After you get that far. Then autotune can be used.
