Stolen 92 Typhoon in Littleton, CO

Hi everyone,

I came home tonight to find that my Typhoon had been stolen right out of my driveway in Littleton, CO somewhere between 11 pm on 07/08/05 and 3 am 07/09/05. CO plate # 387-IEV, VIN is 1GDCT18ZXN0811031. It is a 92, black with black non-painted cladding, red decals, fiberglass hood that is in black primer, 30th anniversary WS6 rims (black 5-spoke with polished lip) and carbon fiber center caps, no GMC emblem on the grille, roof rack, no rear spoiler, tinted windows, and clear w/carbon fiber tail lights. If anyone sees it or has any information, please contact your local law enforcement ASAP.

Thanks,
Amy

Doing that already. The first thing I did when I read this thread was check to make sure she was still there. I have taken some anti-theft steps, next step is the alarm. I just finished driving around for a few hours looking, but nothing. Keep your hopes up though!

Hope you get your truck back in one piece Amy.

Remember people,it only takes 5 seconds to pull your ECM B fuse..The truck will not start without it.

Does anyone know where to buy the switchable fuse?

Just buy a standard two position switch and wire it to the ECM B fuse from the back side.. $2 worth of parts and about 15min worth of labor.

That was the second option, I just think that a switchable fuse would be cool, and easier to intstall. Although it would be easier to spot, I guess. Where do you access the wire? PM if you want to be all secretive about it.

Still trying Amy!

I'm still crossing my fingers every time the phone rings...

Anybody have any contacts within the Jeffco Sherrif's department or other law enforcement agencies? I'd like the Sherrif's to actually get on this...

You'd think as many times as I've been pulled over (15ish  ) I know someone, but the only people I know are family friends that have retired recently. I've been looking every time I drive, even in drainage ditches, parking lots, random fields, but nothing yet. I've driven around some of the auto shops around Lincoln Auto and Colorado Auto (junkyard). There is a bunch of small auto places that seem like a potential chop shops. I may check some of the shops on the frontage road to Santa Fe down by Alameda.

If it helps to relieve the stress, we can hang out sometime this weekend and get liquored up with my fellow car buddies. Or I can try to organize a mass cruise to search local scenes, car parts stores, etc.

I've figured out the best way to keep your truck from getting stolen, leave it up on jackstands w/ half the motor torn apart. The only thing I need to worry about now is people stealing suff off the truck but atleast they can't drive it anywhere the downside is neither can I. Goodluck w/ finding your truck though I hope everything works out.
