Sunbird Instrument Cluster Probs

Ok, heres the deal. I have a 93 S10 Blazer that I am trying to put a Sunbird cluster in. I have a cluster (not sure what year it came from) and I have the bezel from a Sy.

I haven't taken the truck apart yet but I can't see anyway to make these Sy/Ty brackets line up with any of the mounting tabs on the cluster. And the push rod for the tripmeter reset is in the wrong place to line up with the hole in the bezel. The pushrod is near the upper right of the trip odometer and the hole in the Sy bezel is in the lower right. The holes for the gauges seem to line up ok.

What am I missing or do I just have the wrong cluster? HELP !!!!!

Yes, does anyone have any pics of a real Sy/Ty cluster showing how the brackets attach?

There are two different Turbo Sunbird clusters, make sure you have the later one.

I think the probelm you having is that SyTy's have different instrument cluster bracket regular S-Series.

Mike, is that diagram for a regular S10 dash? It doesn't show the "special" brackets that allow the Sy/Ty cluster to attach to the S10 dash.

This is a standard S-10 cluster mount. It will bolt directly to the dash. I think the later Sunbird clusters are same mount as Sy/Ty, mount with metal bracket. Never seen earlier Sunbird clusters.
