Super high idle HELP!!

Went to pick up the truck today (or so I thought) and the mechanic said the truck starts fine but has a high idle, so I started it up and it instanly shot up to 4k and I shut it off real quick. He was checking things out still as I left but still had not found the problem...I took him over the stock MAP because he said that he wanted to check it compared to the one on it, he also said the TPS was reading ok so that wasn't it, the throtle cable wasn't stuck and there wasn't any obvious vacum lines off anywhere...could the TB be stuck? . Anyone out there have any idea what could be causing this high idle? any input would be appreciated to help get her back home.

don't know if it'll net you 4k idle but there's also a throttle adjustment screw on the throttlebody you could check adjust just for the hell of it

yeah i am with ryan check the throttle screw and take the ic hose off and check the blades.

Also, pull the ECMB fuse for a couple seconds, then short the top right 2 ALDL terminals together, with the key on. (resets the IAC).

Vacuum hose is more likely, though.

Found it...intake plenium gasket got sucked in and tore for some reason :rant: I need a new one and fast as possible. Checked all over town and of course no one had one so I need to order one somewhere and get it by Monday.

got mine from mike hood tucker auto but i guess he is out of town or something i emailed him a couple days ago and have not heard back
