I have 93 Typhoon and have decided to redo the suspension. Doesn't need a lot but am going to upgrade anyway and I am looking for suggestions. I have purchased ZR1 wheels 17x9.5 and 11. What tires are best to use. I wish to do suspension bushings, are polyurethane a good choice. Should I lower the rear?? What is a good set of sway bars? I still have factory air shocks(work fine). It has new ball joints. What about steering shaft, ZQ8 box. Any info on brake kit(front) that uses 98-02 Camaro stuff? If anyone has any of the parts for sale or knows who to get from please email malcolmmar@msn.com is fastest way to get because I cannot get this website at work(firewall, recognized as chat). Thanks for any and all help. Merry Christmas to all. Also I purchased new 17 inch wheels and tires in March for $1150 and will sell the if any interest(looking for $800) the wheels look similar to Mustang Bullet wheels and I thin tires are 255 series. Thanks again.

Polyurethane is well worth the money IMO

I would lower the rear, seems to handle better, and help the asthetics as well.

Stock up front, and for the rear I like Nolans setup using the brackets and bar off of a newer ZQ8 equipped pickup.

ZQ8 sterring box will COMPLETELY change the feel of the steering, and how the truck drives....Definately on my to-do list.

As for the rear air levelling, most folks who lower their Ty remove it and refit regular shocks. I'm not one of those folks. However, when the truck is lowered in back, the ELC linkage geometry is all screwed up. The movement of the sensor arm is only vaguely related to the height of the rear axle (relative to the body). If you decide to lower it - by whatever means: lowering blocks, fiberglass monoleafs, steel multileaf, or by removing a leaf from the stock stack (did I miss any?) - AND you decide to keep the ELC, let me know. I'll show you what I did to improve the ELC sensor setup.

Which block in the rear would level it out nice? Is there a certian company that sells them with the pinion angle on the block? If you can, please PM or post the steps to keep the ELC i would like to keep mine.

Thanks,
Adam

I'll post the ELC info when I get back in town after the holidays. I've run Summit-brand and Belltech blocks with no problems. Search on that topic and you'll get more info than you can use. You have to disassemble the spring stack and move the stock wedge to the top of the block.
Someone recently posted on a nice set of home-made (or home-customized) blocks that looked sweet.
