Mmmmm, nice! I love the Syclone detail in the valve covers.
Are the headers coated or polished?

Re: Sy 1699 PROSTREET BUILD

they are ceramic coated

I noticed a company offers different kind of coatings for headers and downpipes. Would you recommend the ceramic or the black type of coating. Apprently the black coating resist even more heat (2000 degrees F) but does not look as nice as the ceramic/chrome looking coating.

I'm not sure which will be better. I did go with the black coating on the exhaust tip (just didn't want all the shine). The ceramic coating process goes on as a liquid (not powder). It comes out sorta green and comes out the oven flat white. It is then put in a tumbler for about 15 minutes a comes out a nice silver.

thanks for the kind words. I'm headed up to Autofair this weekend in search of a few parts to get me closer to finishing. I hope to meet up with some of the turbo6 club at the speedway. Lee

Lee, its Tim, the truck looks good. I will have to come bye and check it out. I like the valve covers...neat job!

I haven't driven the BB much lately, but I did put some of the MT pro street radials on it.

Come by anytime. Progress has been slow lately, involved in coaching baseball again. However, I'm waiting on a custom wiring harness from Current Performance. The LS2 will actually plug into the factory connector in the firewall. The driveshaft is also being made this week.

You must tell me how you did those fuel rail covers........

That's exactly what I wanted to do but wasn't sure how to go about it.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read it...........very cool idea.

I used the stock bracket from the Sy and used a side mount pedal that GM sells with their muscle car lsx kit. It will bolt back in the stock location.
