Hey everyone syclone 2813 has a new home in the Baltimore Maryland area.

I was at work a couple of weeks ago, a buick gmc dealership, when i saw a syclone sitting in the wholesale line of cars going to auction. I thought that was curious so I went straight up and talked to my boss about it. Someone had traded the truck in on a new truck and the syclone needed some work so they just decided they were gonna send it through the auction. Well I couldnt let this go so I bought the truck from them.

To get the truck running good I have done a basic tune up, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, new water pump, repaired a few leaky vac lines and installed some belltech leaf springs.(one old leafspring was broke just hanging under the truck)

Truck is inspected and on the road now. The truck is running pretty good right now, but I still have a few things I need to do to it. A new exhaust is next in line. The trucks exterior and interior is in great condition. (pictures soon when i get around to it)

This site was so helpful just to get information for the small amount of work I have done so far to the truck. its awesome.

So anyway got a new member to the community, great site goin on here

Re: Sy 2813 has a new home...

Still working on getting those pictures...

Truck has 113k miles on it. Got the truck for $4500. By the time I did all the work to it got about $5000 total in it.

Since ive been driving it I started noticing a clicking from underneath started a few days ago. Put it up on the lift this weekend and the propshaft was making the noise. Pulled the front propshaft out and everything sounds good now. Now im just trying to decide whether I should rebuild the joint or just put a gilbert in it and be done with it.

Needless to say, I had a pretty fun drive home from the shop today, RWD SYCLONE!!! haha

Quickstop [UK]

Combating adversyty.

Don't drive it too much without the prop shaft in or you'll mess up the transfer case I think. Sounds like you work hard and fast on it - great result.

I should have got a truck like that rather than pile 3k into shipping mine over!

Get a Gilbert or D and R, I bought a D and R and I like it. About half the price of a Gilbert for the same quality. With the DR you don't have to change the flange in the front differential. As for the stocker, that 's an accident waiting to happen.

Oh no im not driving it anymore, just back from the shop. Shes parked now awaiting my propshaft decision... Although, once you get a Syclone, you never want to go back to your daily driver. haha.
