All my new lights and door mirrors are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so if they show up in a timely manner, I'll put them in and take some photos. I haven't had too much time to work on it lately because the tranny in my DD Oldsmobile took a crap on me two days ago. I'm currently fighting with the scAamco about getting it fixed because they want twice the car's worth to fix it.

Even if the lights don't show up tomorrow, I PROMISE that I'll take photos of the progress that's been made anyway.

I'm sorry that I've been leading folks on about it, but I didn't expect this tranny drama to interfere with my progress...

I got my lights and door mirrors in today. I mocked them all up, but I'm still going to have the mirrors painted blue, since they look dumb in black. Here's what the truck looks like so far...

:shocked!: Damn, that looks hot! I agree with the mirrors needing some paint. What are you going to do with the wheels? Just clean them up? I think some polished ZR1's would look good with that blue! :tup:

Brandon that blue is HOT!!!! I like it alot!!!! Does it have a color name Super Sonic Blue Pearl or such ??? You sure you don't want to get different mirrors instead of painting those?? You better enter for truck of the month next month, damn I like that color it looks better here then in all the other pics i've seen yet!!

The color is from Lexus, it's called Intesa Blue Pearl, and it was used on their IS300 line a couple years back. I fell in love with the color and had to have it on the truck. The Sonic Blue that was mentioned came on Ford trucks, and is close, but a little lighter. It's extremely hard to reproduce the actual color in an online photo.

Luckily my brother's a professional photographer (www.blairbunting.com) who's done a ton of awesome car photography, and he's agreed that we'll be doing a bunch of nifty shots once I get the exterior the way I want it. I've designed a rig for some motion shots that should come out pretty cool.

The stock rims are definitely going away, I couldn't imagine how bad the new paint was going to make them look. :D I was going to go with some Simmons, but they've become insanely expensive in the last couple years. I was partial to the black rims with a polished lip, but that seems to be played-out lately. Needless to say, whatever I decide on, you'll be able to fit a family of four inside the rear lip of whatever I decide on. :)

Hah, I wouldn't go with black with that color. Polished would look really nice or maybe even silver. Mrwheelrs(sp.) wheels would look good on your syclone. Not sure what they are though.

Jeremy has Hamann wheels on the truck now, I don't know if I would like a silver wheel on there though, me personally think gun metal would be a better fit.

The Super Sonic Blue Pearl I was referring to was a limited production color that they put on Acura Integra's in the late '90's they tried to redo the color on the civic's early '00's but it wasnt the same. Your truck is very close to that color. Don't ask me how I know, unfortunatly I wasn't always focused on domestic vehicals.

As mentioned above I would add a different mirrors. Ty or others if you plan to paint 'em to match. Just my .02

Just wanted to comment and say that I saw your blue SY at the Pavillions on Saturday and it looked pretty damn good. Love the paint. :tup:

that only works if you narrow the rear differntial.
