just curious how many in the jax area....ever go to gainesville raceway..? I purchased a new sy back in 91, used to race it out at Imeson on sundays, till that ended because of a kid getting killed by a drag racer. Just purchased a ty and wondering if many owners around here.

Probably Frank Peterson (not on the list that I'm aware of). I actually have his Typhoon with me right now (doing turbo upgrade, chip, etc...), but it's a black '93 with no roof rack, and a bug deflector. It was Robert Edwards' (St. Marys, GA) old Typhoon.

Cool, I'm in Sanford, across the lake from you. I'm going to look at a TY tomorrow or Sun over in the Disney area. I'm on the site trying to get some good info on what to look for when buying. I was given some great "buyer guides" in another thread. I was just looking to see if someone might be available to head out with me that might know a little better when buying a Ty.

It's #1018 Ty, black on black. Here's a quik pic I took with my phone.
I know it's a bad pic, but it was raining, and I didn't want to look like a geek taking pix as he rolled up, lol. I also plan on selling my blazer to help fund the purchase of the Ty. That should be sold by this weekend as well.
I will be by this weekend. I went down last Saturday to look & drive the Ty. I've gotta tell you. It was my first time ever driving one, and it was far better than I ever expected it to be. :headbange I plan on swinging by SYO237 place before then.
