I'm sorry, but I wouldnt care who won this race, If I was you, even if you lost, I'd be asking that guy to either ride in it or drive it, after all when are you ever gonna ride in, or sh*t even drive a million dollar car? god knows I never will!
If and when this happends, get lots of pics, and video's!!
Hell I'd fly out to his house just to ride in the thing! but thats just me

Did they make any 2-seater Mclarens?? I think they only have one seat in the middle. Therefor, u'd have to ride on his lap. :-?

I actually think Mclaren's are 3 seaters. I'm pretty sure they have a central drivers seat and then a pseudo passenger seat on each side...at least I think I remember reading something like that, but hell I'd let him play "dirty Santa" to get a ride in that rig :wink:

can't wait to see this go down!! There's a kid, yes kid, i think he's 22 now about 30 minutes from me thats got a Diablo... Maybe I'll have to get my shit together and go find him!! :eek:

Thanks for the correction... I guess I havent looked real close to the articles... The thing is priced a 'lil' out of my range to even be dreaming about. ;)

Video would be awesome of this race.

I've seen a video with a decent shifter and a good start run 1/4mile in 11.045 and 1000m in 19.548 @ 172mph on the street.

did you guys check out the porsche runnin through the streets in stockholm a couple of pages back in the off topic. unbelieveable. i just love it when the stripes on the road turn into a solid line 8)

One of the guys on this board has had the chance to drive a mclaren. ALthough only 100 ft he still got to drive it. Oh and he stalled it. hahhhaah. you would think that after Racing GTR's and stuff he would learn but I guess not. Im not gonna give out any names though :)

I can believe he stalled it...Car and Driver were testing the new Porsche Carrera GT and they said the down side is that EVERY driver will stall it. Something to do with the extremely low rotational mass. One stab at a supercars throttle and your lookin at red line in no time, but on the other hand you could buy 100 $10k syclones for the same price :wink:

If he's that rich why do you have to make it worth his while? Does he need to win money so he doesn't have to break out his CC when buying his friends to dinner or what?

I'd LOVE to see it. If you run faster than 10.99 I think you'll beat him. I don't think he'll pull of an 11.0 sec run just because the car is capable of it.

He'll probably buy your truck if you beat him 8)

I think if your truck runs 10s and he's on radials you have a good chance. What would be killer is if he was soo sure he'll hand you your ass that you could run him title for title :eek:

but that wuold be just stupid cause anything could happen

As someone else stated; on the street with street tires, you will have a good advantage (for a period of a few seconds). Just a matter of how many seconds until he hooks up and the wind starts fighting you. I'd say you're good for the 1/8 mile no problem and probably the 1/4 but no more. Standing start only and try to find the slickest road around.
