Bought the truck over 2 years ago, and went right to town making it all original. Ended up pulling the heads and doing a valve job, and new valve seals. Installed a set of comp 1.6 ratio rocker arms, cleaned and painted everything on the top end of the engine. Original engine/trans. Painted the front fenders, hood and grill. And the whole cladding. Powder coated inner fenders.

It came from texas and has no rust at all. 58,000 miles. Interior is in excellent shape. On my last drive with her the RF flare blew off in the fricken wind and broke the cladding as seen in one picture. At this point im done with the truck. I've spent to much time and money in the past 2 years making it all original. Located in Upstate NY. My number is 607-316-0997

$15,700. Not taking any offers. I've dumped to much money into this truck. It would make a great driver/show truck for someone who wants to finish it up. All pieces are here.

The pictures above are dirty from sitting in the garage while working on it.

That's crazy. I just bought my syclone in Sept and it was shipped from Norwich to Texas. Good luck with the sale!

Re: syclone 300 forsale

^^Did you buy yours from the Northeast Classic Car Museum?

No I didn't bought it from an individual. But I did here that there was one in a classic car museum up there around the time I bought mine. Do you remember much about that one? I wondering if mine was in there at some point. When was it in there? Sorry not trying to hijack this thread.

Re: syclone 300 forsale

Oo, I know who's truck that was. Both trucks - yours and the museum's - were super nice. The truck you bought was my dad's old business partner, he only owned it for a few months before he sold it to you. It's interesting to know where it went though.

It's my brother's thread , he won't care. The most interesting part is, he bought this truck (the one forsale) from Texas, after looking all over. Now, one of the trucks that was local is in Texas, crazy.

Yeah bought the truck from a guy named Tom. Super nice guy. I bought it sight unseen. Tom said it was nice and I took his word for it and he was right. It is a super nice truck. Very cool your dad knows him. Was trying to see who the owner before him was also to see if he had any other paperwork on it since it is low mileage truck. Small world!

Re: syclone 300 forsale

All I really know about it is it was originally sold in Norwich from Benedict's - they are still in business, but only sell GMC and Subaru now, they sold it a few months after my dad left there. It went to Connecticut some how, and then Tom bought it and it went back to Norwich. He only had it a very short time (maybe 6 months or less), he has a handful of cars, usually doesn't keep them very long either. He and my dad owned a local Chevy dealership up until about 2-yrs ago when they retired.

Really cool to see where the truck is now for sure though.

Re: syclone 300 forsale

Yeah he had it at the dealership. I think it was McCredy motors? So I was sold new at benedicts? I think the keychain he gave me has that name on it. Sorry for so many questions. Just pretty cool that you knew about the truck. Are you on the Facebook syty page?

Re: syclone 300 forsale

Not a problem.

Tom and my dad - with another partner - had owned Christman Motors which sold Chevy's. They sold out to McCredy about two years ago; I believe Tom still works with them, probably why it had a McCredy keychain.

Benedicts (www.benedictgmc.com) sold your truck new to a guy in Sherburne, NY; my dad told me his name last night, damned if i could remember it now though. He's an older guy, now in his 60s I guess, has a small car collection. He apparently sold it, possibly to someone in CT or New Hampshire?, not sure. Then Tom bought it and brought it back to Norwich. Benedicts at the time sold GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Subaru, today only GMC and Subaru. The current owner had just taken over around the time they sold your truck.

From what I've heard every owner was a collector - clear by the mileage and condition.

I didn't even know there was a syty facebook page. I follow Sportmachines and somebody else, can't remember now.

Very cool info. Thanks. Yeah I talked to Tom a couple of months ago trying to get the original owners name to see if he had the original window sticker and certificate of authenticity. I told Tom I wouldn't mind paying the original owner for the window sticker and or certificate of authenticity. I think it would be cool to have that documentation. Again thanks for the info!
