Your 700r4 and stock converter will give up long before the motor. This motor made a bunch of passes at these power levels, I ran it hard. I run e85 and have a 6266 and ran 11.0 on 20psi and 20 degrees of timing. It's pretty happy at that level. I'm also revving this one pretty high compared to stock, it blew at about 5800-5900rpm.

Texted a member here for a bowtie block for your truck however it is the old style unit (stock crank won't work) along with a chit ton of other stuff. If I repair the truck I will move to a SBC most likely, I was trying to chase Sean Krupa's stock bottom end record so I was pushing things pretty good. I have zero interest in putting any more money into a 4.3, but if I did put another v6 in, it'll just be to get it running so its easier to sell, which will mean as dirt cheap as possible.

Yesterday after work I mustered up the motivation to compression test it, but that's all I've done.
2 cylinders with no compression
3 more with almost no compression.
All cylinders wet and a bunch of coolant in the oil.
One cylinder flattened the spark plug strap against the electrode.
She broke in pretty glorious fashion.
