I lust after your engine.....I need to find an engine or someone knowledgable about rebuilding the Syclone engine. I am in Franklin Tennessee (Nashville).

Re: Syclone project restarted today with pics

Some progres here. deleted all the ABS stuff. took the torsionbars out (going to weight all the stuff that i'm deleting). cleaned the chassis with a pressure washer. and painted the bare chassis.
next step is to take all the electric wiring out that i don't need. and put the cables that i need trough the fender.
I would have really loved to powdercoat the chassis. but i'm a bit on a budget. i would like to enjoy this truck. without the drama of an too expensive rebuild.

document which wires you're removing. i believe that there are a number of owners that want to do the same thing.

I extended all of my wiring on the drivers side so I could route it through the fender.

Then I made panels to cover the inner fender ugliness. I still need to send them out and have a bead rolled around the perimiter to make them look a little better. Here's the drivers side panel in.

Forgot about it until you mentioned it. It's fairly out of the way I'll probably leave it since it's a vent for the gas tank.
I'm not sure where else I'd put it. Maybe back in the rear drivers fender area?

i remember a thread form a while back that we didn't really needed to run it. my old 1952 pickup didn't have none, so why should we? and that tank is in the cab.
