SyTy vs Lightning

I think most people have run up on a bad running Sy/Ty, and generalize the whole lot as slow. But we all know for a fact that a Sy/Ty in good running condition will rape a spark.I guarantee that Aaron (known here as 75Monte)from South Bend will massacre one with his BONE stock Ty. 0-60 in 4.99,
7 or 8 carlength lead,by then most ppl give up.
Hell,the fastest Lightning at the Sport Truck Nats in Bowling Green only went 12.55,and I know that Daron's "stock" truck (chip,AFPR,FP,some porting,and tuned to perfection)would hand that POS it's ass.There are some fast L's out there,but I've never seen one personally.
Let those guy think they got something.Their trucks are fast,but they ain't quick.
Just face it fella's,we get NO RESPECT,but between the stoplights,we are king.

thanks guys...got alot more to say to them now...there all ass's...thinkin that there Rustang GT's will beat a SyTy...just wait till i get mine...only thing that scares me is this one kid...he's got a TT Supra...but otherwise...the parking lot is owned...hopefully ill have one by march-april...if anyone see's some nice ones for sale around 10,500 to 14,000 around jersey...lemme know...GMCTRUCKTYPHOON@AOL.COM

I was gonna post but figured I had better things to do like organise my zip ties or something...
The comment about us not knowing how to build engines/wrench got me fired up but so what.... I have built, raced, blown up, wrenched on, tuned more engines than prolly 75% of em and my ego just aint that fragile..
All I know is I busted a '00 lightnings ass at the track last Sat by a wide margin. The owner was too cool and all about his truck and really liked myclone so I figure not all of em have the mudstain mentality..
Lotsa internet "cage rattling" going on (yeah, I do it to... I know...) but all the B.S. stops when its time to line em up.... I win I got a faster truck. A lightning wins they have a faster truck. Nuff said.

Maybe it is me but I have never had much of an issue with any other "car" driver. I have had a couple assholes here and there - but as far as an enthusiast is concerned - we are all the same. We want to go faster. I talked to a couple L owners this past weekend when I was home visiting my parents. One was an older guy asking for directions - never said anything about my Ty. I was kinda disappointed with that. The midwest L-owners had a meeting at the Davenport, Ia Hooters - no idea why they did it in Iowa - but none the less. I told him to follow me to get where he was going - and once we got on the open road I hit it and he stayed behind. Not because I kicked his ass - not that he was scared - he just wasn't interested for whatever reason - no biggie.
The other guy was on his way back from the meeting as well. He had a black L and was from West Chicago - 'bout 15 minutes from me. We chatted about trucks, cars, racing and maybe having a combination meet - Lightnings, SyTys and Dakota R/Ts. Set something up at a drag strip and have a little grudge match and stand around and BS. We know the R/Ts won't be much of a match :smile: Comments about doing the horizontal bop on some dudes woman seems silly to me. I don't see a point in talking shit to someone who you have never raced. Especially when the comment had nothing to do with cars. Kinda like hating all women because one of them pissed in your Cheerios. If you beat one L - talk shit to that owner. No sense being an ass and making the whole SyTy community look bad. I kinda like to talk to people about their car. I don't want to be snubbed because I drive a 10 year old brick. I want someone to snub me because I AM an asshole - not because they assume I am.
Anyway......let them live in their world. We know who rules the street :wink:

jeremy, was this L silver? if so i raced this guy at the drags in SD, not once but twice and killed him both times. he claimed he had a pulley, a chip, some bullshit done to his intake, and that his L ran high 12's in carlsbad. i have both kills on film with 2 different cameras. one of these days ill figure out how to get em on a computer, i still need to get that kill footage of the 911 TT on my computer also :grin:
