Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you guys are running a T-76 turbo?

What size turbine housing & what turbine wheel do you have?

Also if you have dynoed them or raced them in a 1/4 mile?

Please post your HP & torque or your 1/4 mile times.

Thanks!

Re: T-76 Turbochargers

ehh, I've got a 74mm Q trim, i'll try to get ya some times up this summer, there's a few inches of white stuff on the ground and it's in the single digits, and the truck is spread all over the garage, but i'm lookin for mid/low10's out of her on stock block/crank. i would say a well specked 76mm with appropriate motor to mount it on would be able to net a 9 second pass

Re: T-76 Turbochargers

I have a GT42-76RL (Dual Ball Bearing) going on the truck shortly. It is a garrett piece that precision reworks. I don't have the specs handy, but it's F'n HUGE... going on my 312 ci bowtie motor shortly, so I'll be able to post #'s once that's done. :)

Re: T-76 Turbochargers

I just got a bb76 q trim. once the motor is back together I will have some times. You know this is the thing I hate about hotrodding. You are never finished. Started with a stock truck. Then wanted to go 11's did that with the stock motor. then wanted 10's and now before I even get the truck back together I am getting a bigger turbo.

I've changed turbo's twice during my build so far ;)

Re: T-76 Turbochargers

Dont it suck? LOL I went from the stock turbo to a te44, then to a pt61, then a pt66, sad part is never even held the 66, now a 76. If I keep going in about 4 more years I will have a 106 on it.

Cool!
With that time improvement ,, you did not just change turbo's,, correct?

So I take it ,you have not dynoed your engine combos?

I forgot to ask ,what was your turbine wheel size & the turbine housing size? A/R?

The 3500 RPM was it a perfect stall, or did it need a bit more?

Thanks again!

Stall at 3500rpm is perfect. That is max of what I recommend for streetuse. You´re gonna get a very fast spool too.

Robert, do you mind telling the specs on your old cam when you had the 76 sized turbo on?
Thanks
