T-shirt logo/graphic ideas

I know there are alot of graphic designers on the board. I wanna challange a few of you to come up with a logo and then we'll all vote on it. The winner and maybe runner up will get some $$ (Not A LOT of cash, but something for your time...

Hell maybe we'll use both the winners idea and the runner up's on the shirts.)

I'd like to have at least 5 different ideas to vote on. (More would be awesome for sure..) The more ideas we can come up with the better it will be to pick. Not only that, but the shirt person I'm having do the shirts said we can use as many logo's/graphic's as we want. So if we're 50/50 on designs I can have a few run with different for everyones likings. :)

For where the graphic's will go;
- something for the front of the shirt (small logo)
- something for the whole backside of the shirt(or the front, which would wipe out the small style logo.)

I can have any color, or logo/graphic design idea you can think of or make printed on shirts. So you can put as much thought as you want into them. There is no rush to get this done. But like everything else with the big events, we'd like to have them done a few months before the actual event starts.

At this point I only have something for the front of the shirt, something small. But its not done, when it is I'll post it up.

Tim....forward submissions to me (sytyshindig@gmail.com) and I'll upload them to the shindig page. If we decide on a few different designs, then I'll make a poll for voting on the final design.

shirts with the large logo on the back are more appealing than ones with large logos on the front IMO.

Yeah, I agree......for GAST, we're getting ones with a mini-logo on the left breast, large logo on the back, and the web address on the left sleeve. Costs more, but they're gonna look good IMO.

Re: T-shirt logo/graphic ideas

Anyone have any ideas? lol.

The ones I had seem to have been used for one of the nat's. So I kinda dropped that one, even though I think it could still be put into it somehow.. But the sooner we can get these made, the sooner I'll put them up for sale.. Prices depend on how many we want, keep that in mind.... So if I get a def number of shirts we want, I can post prices. It doesnt matter the design, just the amount of shirts.

The design's can be actual pictures, cartoon images, anything you can come up with.

Alright..

I was working on this the other night. Figured no ones come up with anything. I dont have photoshop and I didnt feel like loading it onto my slow computer, so I just used ms paint, haha.

If someone who has photoshop could take these and make them alot nicer looking it would be awesome. AND, does anyone know who orginally drew this that way I can ask him/her if they have a big problem with it? Even though I changed a few things anyway.. (but just incase they have a problem.. ) The orginal pic was the one with what looked like the rat fink in the bed of the sy..

Any opinions.. (Like said, I dont have photoshop so I couldnt add font. but I'll work on something later in the week. ;))

Like Tim, I personally like to see a pic of a whole truck. I like the Idea that tim has of the cartoon truck also. I was wondering if some has a pic of a real sy and ty Ved like in tims pic I think it would look awesome. But I would want pics of the whole truck in the pic.

Ian has a set of vectored cartoon sytys that were used years ago for one of the Nats shirts. Im sure he would be willing to reuse them, although Id rather see a fresh idea and not something reused.

Actually, I would like to see something finalized and done within the next few months. Im getting prices from my local T-shirt guy soon. Tim, do you have anyone in your area who does quality stuff for a good price?

Heres 2 ideas.

I know we have some sponcers for this that actually have a company, like Hood. So I wondered how we could throw there stuff up there. The first is my first idea, and the second was just something to show sponcers. (I just copied the stuff from here as you can tell. lol)

Re: T-shirt logo/graphic ideas

Had a shirt made up today with the basic stuff to see how it looked. It actually came out really good. I'd like to get the "shindig" picture a little bigger and clearer if anyone has it? As well as the states outlined? (Hood, Adam)

Anyone think it would look better with the syclone being in red, and the ty being in its own color? If so which year color?

Heres the shirt. (she only has a 2x in ash, so its a little big. but it would still be the same size on xl's.)

Hey Tim, at 2XL that shirt is too big for you. How about you sell it to me? I've got $15 burning a hole in my pocket...

Also, that other design, with the sponsors on it, looks good too. It wouldn't bother me if the sponsors were 'thanked' with a little recognition for their support(as long as the shirt looks good).

By the way, do you mean the word Syclone in red or the pic of the truck in red?

Re: T-shirt logo/graphic ideas

Honestly, I wouldnt put vendors on the shirts. I know from past experience that sometimes vendors dont work out or pull through due to various reasons or come aboard last minute. IM NOT saying any of the vendors we have now are going to do that, but Ive had the experience in the past with previous syty events and it creates a headache when stuff doesnt work out.

Good point, I didn't think of that. A reason why your one of the organizers. When we were talking about hotels, I said 'Comfort Suites' but I wasn't thinking about everybody else and the fact that the majority may want a cheaper hotel. I have to stop thinking only about what I want...

Re: T-shirt logo/graphic ideas

I have a newer design ill post when I get home in about a hour.

I wasn't thinking about if the vendors show up or not. My orginal mindset behind it was to promote them. As well as syty.net.

And I was figuring the price around $13-$16 per shirt, and a little deal on those who bought say 5 or so at a time.
