TD06H/20G and BC solenoid problem

I picked up 92 Ty # 1209 about a month and a half ago. Been working small bugs out. Thanks to Bruce and Jim locally here in the ATX for helping me out.

I picked up the ty with the motor fresh from a rebuild. One of the guys helping me out noticed that the BC solenoid was not there. The vacuum line was wrapped around the turbo and plugs into each end of the turbo. The Ty has an upgraded TD06H/20G Turbo. Well there is no hole for the BC solenoid to attach to the turbo. I have been told without the BC solenoid, I am getting a MAX of 8psi of boost. I have put 800 miles and an oil change on the new motor, and I am ready to get into some boost. For you guys that have this turbo, or ran into this problem, what did you need to do to attach the BC solenoid to the turbo?

Thanks in advance.

Drilled and tapped the intake housing for the solenoid.

Others have mounted it elsewhere. It doesn't need to attach to turbo, just need longer vacuum lines for it to reach.

Syclone#2960

What ever it takes!!
Trey the previous pwner might of had a "check vavle " installed instead of using the BC solenoid.Give a call Sunday so that u can come by and see what I am talking about. :evilbat:

Dude, Welcome to the Austin Gang. I have a 20G, just mounted the factory BC on my ATR "warm air" kit to the side of the turbo, no issues. Just make sure your lines to and from are secured well, and of course, use the right port...

Sounds like we are going to have to have another Austin area get together with these newbies... Bruce... yeah I know, you used to own one, yada yada yada.

Cooler weather is coming, how about a trip to San Antonio, heh?

Sincerely,
