test port on fuel rail

Im going to be changing the pump in the tank ..Could I remove the valve from the test port and hook a hose to it.. i need to drain the gas ..trying to find a easier way to do it...

Works great, I've done it several times to get out old fuel.

I would hook a fp gauge to it,with the drain button ziptied open,and use the gray wire.
