Thanks for everyone's help and especially whoever diagnosed the problem and came up with a simple solution. I fixed mine tonight. I did not remove the starter and could not remove the purple wire from the starter with it in place. So I cut the purple wire about 8" from the front of the starter and spliced in a good 10 ga wire with soilder, heat shrink and wire loom. Before splicing the other end, I tested it by contacting the 10 ga wire to the + battery terminal and crank but no click, click. Then I spliced into the other end of the purple wire just above the brake boost as recommended. Then hit the ingition switch and crank/start with no more click click. Nice fix for under $10.00.
