Ok, a close friend of mine calls me today telling me a guy at his work has a friend I should race for money. So I ask him what he is driving and he tells me its a 91 TSi. He didnt seem to any of the mods but he did give me the link to thier local website for their club or crew whatever the hell you want to call it. http://modifiedsociety.net/ Check it out, try not to laugh too hard. I cant decide if I should give these guys the time of day. I guess the TSi (the only one) is supposed to be the fastest of the bunch. I cant see the pic of the car because I dont have the flash player, I downloaded it but nothing happens. Anyway, let me knwo whats in the pics and tell me if you think I should run for some bucks.

it says it has some motor work and large injectors but nothing about a big turbo. Stock manifold even. I would say that you being awd and tuned well should be able to get him in the 1320 on the street

yeah i forgot that a tsi is the same as a gsx, also his profile page has some older pics than what that video shows guess it comes down to how well he can drive that day

The TSi that's pictured with him is purple and doesn't look anything like that under the hood...

Going back and looking at the site more, that's not HIS Talon, that's A Talon beating a Viper. It's members choice, just their fave vids.

Like I said before, race the Talon and walk him man.

IS there anyway to get that pic posted somewhere so I can see it? I dont ever recall seeing a purple TSi around here. Yeah youre right about the Viper thing, it is just his favorite vid, not him at all, even if it was, on my Ultimate chip I lost to a Viper by a car. If he did beat me it wouldnt be by much even if that was him. I was contemplating a hundred bucks but with all my luck my propshaft wouuld snap or something. I cant wait to hear from these guys when theyre told Im in. I told my buddy to let them know Im up for it. Ill race them all at the same time if I have to :lol: Do you like that Accords one wheel burnout? :tup:

I have owned fifteen different DSM's, Lasers, Talons, Eclipses, Galant VR-4. Now have three EVO's and an 89 Conquest with a DSM motor, 4G63, powerglide. Car looks stock. Also have the Syclones. Don't be so quick to judge and laugh at any DSM. Retards from the internet today can bolt together a 10 sec car. Its that simple. Years ago it was rare and maybe 10 DSMs were in the 10's. Now there are 100's and a good 30-40 in the 9's. Street cars. EVO's too. 10's are childs play with about $10,000 in parts.
I have one DSM left. If someone wants to race for enough money I can get it out. Looks stock from the outside. Only makes 520 on my Mustang AWD dyno. But is 700 pounds lighter than stock.
Granted the law of averages are in your favor for the car to not be fast, but there is still a good chance they sandbag the car and its faster than you think.
Little more fine tuning on my Conquest and it will mow down 10.50 cars all day long. Its the ultimate sleeper of about 40 cars I have had in my life.

im with you 100 percent on that, i have seen some insane fast dsms on the street, but based on the engine bay pic, he isnt going anywhere too quick. Looks like stock turbo, stock ic piping, stock intake with a k&n on it, a yellow top optima so you know he isnt doing any weight reduction......plus look at the kids he hangs out with. I dont know, but i dont see a monster dsm being in the same club as a sunfire, grand prix, civic, accord and a mirage.............usually fast kids hang with fast people......but hey what do i know

I think these dudes are on to something. They could take people's money all day long if they actually had a fast car in the group. All ya gotta do is create a gay ricer webpage and point prospective racers to it. Then the prospects laugh their way into a drag race thinking the otherside aint got anything, and then Bam! That would be a pretty sweet ruse.

Havent heard anythign yet. I cant wait. Wish I could see the engine bay pics. As far what he knows, its nothing as far as I know. The guys friend that works with my friend told my friend "oh come one its just a truck how fast could it really be?" "My friends Talon smokes V8's all day". My friend told him that work trucks dont count :rotf: These guys are tools I can garantee it. I dont give a shit what a DSM CAN do, his wont. And for a cash vlaue on the race I jsut ened to get in touch with the guy and see if he is even up for it.
