Nothing really dramatic to tell other than it wasnt a typical ricer. I pulled up next to the guy and noticed a stockish looking older honda 4dr with gauges on the pillar. No wing, no neon, no bumpin stereo just two gauges in a pillar pod. I was actually running early to work so I figured Id have a little fun so I dropped it in neutral and revved at the guy (stock exh so the engine fan makes all the noise). He nodded so I knew it was on.
I waited for the cross traffic light to go yellow and started bringing the ol big block up against the converter. As soon as the light went green I matted the gas got ~2ft of wheel spin and the honda dissapeared out of my sight. At the top of 2nd gear I heard him gaining on me (he did have the prerequisit 5" exhaust) and by the the middle of third he was at my door and inching by me. I hadda let out before I rear ended a city bus but I got next to him at the next light and gave him the thumbs up. We BSed for a second and thats when he said he had done an engine swap with no N2O and was N/A. Cool guy as he didnt have the typical fast and delerious attitude (his hat was even on the right direction
).Next time maybe we'll meet up when Im in the other work truck :wink: :lol: .

Co-worker in a EVO got me from a 30mph roll and then at a light. Dammit I woulda stayed even with him from the dig if I hadnt lit up the rear tires. Sigh..cold pavement SUCKS for drag racing :roll: .

[note to self: get trans fixed SOON, wait for nicer weather to fill IC, take cap off dump, add CAM2, turn boost up to 24lbs, and prepare for some payback with the other hay hauler :evilbat: .

They spun a main baring in the sy, so its in the shop getting it fixed.

Id hafta disagree in this particular instance since we only raced up to, at most, 50mph from the light. I spun and dropped back to where his rear bumper and my front bumper were even and stayed there till we both let out since the area is a known cop hang out. If we would have went a full 1/4mi Im sure I woulda lost bad bud we're buds and were just messing around since it was 6AM with zero traffic.
To save face I fully plan on on giving him crap about the car making that neat little "tweet" sound between gears :lol: .

Found out it wasnt an EVO.. It sure looks like one to me though but the owner says its just factory turbo/FWD. Dunno myself as Ive never seen it in the daylight or under the hood.
Hmmph...like knowing its not a "fast" car makes me any feel better considering I lost :roll:
